Which is everyone fav Transformers comic cover?
For each group do a top 3, then its then picking one for each group to narrow it down to just one. Then seeing if we can all pick just one cover.
Groups are the following
1 Marvel 1984-1995 (include G2 & minis UK US) 2 Dreamwave 2002-2004 3 UK 2003-2015 (Panini & Titan - not the new UK 3 comics currently running) 4 IDW 2005-2016 (pre Optimus Prime #1 only)
Single cover image - so if its a 6 part link cover you can only select one part. Gatefold covers or wrap around are ok.

So many to choose from, but two that spring to mind:
1) Marvel UK 321.
4) All Hail Megatron 'Killing Joke'homage.

It's going to take a while to get a 4 issue short list then which is best from those 4 - do it in poll format once we get just the 4 options.

#47 (194) is in my top for 1988. Bob should have done the inner art for the issue. I'm just doing my short list for the first 7 years (put 9 years of issues - 1992 I'm including the CC covers #18-27) then just picking one cover to try to start narrowing it down. Going by UK issues
1984 #1 1985 #22 1986 1987 1988 #195 1989 1990 1991 1992

But that thread was 2014, just doing this to compare each line upto 2016. If people like more classic Marvel compared to IDW

US Issue 12/UK Issue 39 will always be my favourite Transformers cover. A stone cold classic from Herb Trimpe.
I honestly don't think any of the modern covers have come anywhere near it.

The painted #5 just beats it due to it painted. If #12 was painted it would win for that year

I'm not sure we can cope with that kind of debauchery.

Marvel UK 100 always sticks in my mind. The wrap-around big battle spread.

That's cos it got used half a dozen times. You're hard pressed to find a TF comic in the UK that doesn't have that on the cover.

Marvel UK 100 always sticks in my mind. The wrap-around big battle spread. It is my favourite and not just because it was reused for a couple of Collected Comics editions. It just felt so special at the time. I stared agog at it so many times back in the day. If the original art still exists for it and could be used for reproduction it would be a fabulous high-end art print or poster. -Ralph

AFAIK Alan Davis' son Thomas still has the original.

The only thing wrong with #300 is it doesn't relate at all to the stories inside (apart from Galvatron is in one)
