I don't understand how the Matrix became evil? When it was separated from Optimus Prime it became curious about the nature of evil, as being with Prime all those years it never had that experience. Then it decided it liked it. |

Then it decided it liked it. Ahhhhh right, got it, ta. Looks like it's the alternate future story next. Which means--- PROWL! Hope to read some later tonight once the Goon Squad are in bed. |

One more question. They keep banging on about finding the Matrix to give life to all the injured Autobots. Why didn't Optimus Prime use the Matrix to revive everybot after Dinobot Hunt etc?

At that point in the comics, they'd just used it to bring the Constructions and Jetfire to life. Maybe it can't be used too much? I dunno! Maybe Prime just wanted to keep Wheeljack busy! Also I think the Matrix is used to restore life, but you still need a doctor to patch you up. Sort of like the difference between someone in a vegetative state and someone who's broken all their bones in a car crash. |

Didn't read it as a kid, I came in during Dinobot Hunt, but I read it later. I seem to remember Jazz was opposed to the idea. Could Prime have trusted him? Or Ironhide? Or Ratchet? |

Yeah, baby! I read 'Rhythms of Darkness' whilst retrraving my car from work with the assistance of Mrs Shocks and Father-in-law Shocks (I couldn't drive it home yesterday due to my twisted fanny...).
BRILLIANT!!
Furman is a genius! In the middle of this massive plot arch he takes a time out (time out! Get it?!) to show us a nightmere alternate future. I loved both Prowl and Jazz in this. I think Furman got their personalities spot on, just how they'd be in this type of situation. I'd love to know what happened to the Autobots after Unicron swiped Galvatron!

Don't be too put off by Human Factor. It has what is possibly the worst art in a TF comic. Basically it was a super heroey issue so they got a super hero artist to draw it. They never invited them back! |

Prowl wasn't around much in 87-90. We had him in #110 then not really again until Earthforce has a main plot point character. (#195-210 had too many characters running around to focus on them). Wheeljack would be the only bot Optimus trusted back then - he didn't even tell Ratchet the matrix was real inside his chest.
