The guy who plays Hawkeye isn't too happy that all his filmed scene where cut & he got injured while filming them too If you are basing that on the Sun I wouldnt pay it too much attention. First, well its the sun. Second its important to remember that the two films were more or less filmed back to back and the directors have already said he'll be back for the next one. He didn't pass on MI6 to do a cameo in Infinity War, which is all it would have been if the only thing he shot was for the Edinburgh scene. With the two characters with families, one of whom has there own film out in a month, it makes sense that they arent working for the government and haven't been on the run for two years. Meaning any appearance would have made it hard to do without bogging the film down and wouldnt have given much screen time outside of the final fight scene. Infact Im trying to work out why they would have had him in Edinburgh, but not used for the rest of the film. Unless it was simply to give him a scene in the film. He stops in helps out then says he has to go back to his family? If thats the case, Im glad it was cut and will instead look forward to him turning up in the next one. |

I cant work out where he'd fit in, they've stressed he's in the next one so more than likely
like half characters in infinity war his family died at the hand of Thanos so he wants revenge?

With some characters being killed - or where they? Did Thanos kill half the universe or remove half the universe? I'll not list the character affected or not affected - go watch the film it's on DVD now.

I often misread Thanos as Thomas. This is unfortunate for me as I have not known many Thomas' so my only reference point is Thomas the Tank Engine.

Rewatched it on Blu-Ray - still very much enjoyed it, even on the smaller screen. {Spoiler}Still glaringly obvious that the one reality that they win is where Dr Strange voluntarily surrenders the gem.
Gamora will be the root of Thanos' downfall.

You now I would be perfectly happy if the end teaser at the end of A4 was.... I wanna say Hugh Jackman, but if your going to recast thats the time.... if an Xmen (played by the same actor as in one of the last couple of films) walked out of a shop just as Spidey swings by chasing somebody. As they watch him swing away Avengers Tower comes in to focus in the background.
Oops instead of just undoing Thanos snap they have accidentally merged two universes. Mutants get the blame and are hated. And continue as you were. |

Obviously it would have to be Deadpool breaking the fourth wall. The more I think about how to incorporate mutants into the mcu the more I feel like thats the best option. The long term introduction means referencing mutants as this new phenomenon and start laying the groundwork for the XMen around phase 5. But that route almost certainly means a new XMen origin film even if thats not what they are actively trying to make. First Class was fun, but I dont need to see it done again. I mean even in 2000 the Xmen were well enough known that Fox didn'r feel the need for an origin film. And then they have to wait even longer to develope other mutant films. Also if they wait it means most/all of Foxs upcoming films would largely have to be dumped no matter how well they do. I imagine Deadpool survives as long as Ryan Reynolds still wants to do them, but its hard to imagine anything else. The rest of the time line is such a mess a fresh start wouldnt be terrible, but if they go with an instant appearance they can just pick and choose the Fox material they want to keep.

So I was thinking. What would have been hilarious, is if Matt Damon had been in Infinity War just as himself, since he was in Asgard when everything went to hell.
That would just kill me though. The ship filled with Asgardians, Korg, Hulk, and Matt Damon.
