did you see MArk Gatiss on the one show?
he said something like "when we filmed it, all everyone went on about was how dark and sinister it was I don't understand why everyone thought it was dark and sinister and such black humour, 10 years later I watched it for the first time in ages and I must admit it is a bit on the dark and risky side isn't it!"

Yeah big fan here. Missed the first ep. Must catch up. They're briliant. So imaginative. So much attention to detail. And yes- dark!
