Inspired by Phil's "films you haven't seen" thread, this is for little known or seldom seen films you saw, that don't get the appreciation they deserve.
My list includes- The Specials The Last Starfighter Enemy Mine Flight of the Navigator The Host

This post sadly appears to be under-appreciated.
Was a big fan of Enemy Mine after seeing the trailer on a VHS back in the day.

And you know, they would never dare do that movie now. Sci-fi that's not about big effects and mind numbing action.

I just watched ‘Silent Running,’ I think that should get a remake.
I definitely agree about The Last Starfighters.

THE CORE!
Yeah there's some VERY dodgy science going on, but good acting, silly-fun plot, ya can't go wrong with it!

Star Trek V: The Final Frontier is criminally underrated despite being the best of the 13 films!

I watch it more than the other ones. I will end myself if Discovery ever references Sybok.

A Knights Tale - Seems to have been lost in the shuffle over the years, but a geniunely enjoyable film. With a great cast.

It's the greatest film ever made. The Earth stops spinning and so all the birds fall out of the sky. Some scientists must drill down into the Earth's core and drop a bomb in it to start it spinning again.

It sounds like if it was made in the 50's, I'd yum it up, to be honest.

With the immortal line: "Will ya take a cheque?" from Terry O'Quinn when Hero Dude explains how much it will cost to build the vehicle to go to the core. -Ralph

I don't think the Earth itself stops spinning, old Boy, it looses it's Magnetic Field 'cos it's CORE stops spinning! It could happen..... uh-huh....
