Endless hours of fun flicking them back and forth.
The hoes is stiff but is light piping so looks lovely. Not fussed about difficulty with the alt mode: I have seven other varieties of Cyberverse Shocksave if I want the crab tank.

First trip to Target in months. Decided to go out there for shopping instead of walmart.
Scored deluxe Hotrod and Grimlock.
Opinions shall come later, but first impression: Hotrod is cast almost entirely in crimson plastic. Only his shoulder joints, fists, feet, and ankle joints are light grey. Everything else, even tires are cast in bright red. To add to this, his paint apps are severely lacking. NuRiD Warrior Ratchet level.
Other than that, seems like a fab little figure, so far. Inspecting Hotrod's redness has distracted me from grimlock.

The instructions are no help. And they are an absolute mess. The robot feet literally have nowhere to go. You have to fold panels past tolerances to get them wide enough to allow the tail sections to pass by, while they don't actually tab into place. Also leaving one foot just laying on the dino back, and the other one dangling underneath. On top of that, extremely shallow hip ball sockets pop off anytime you move them. And since the thighs are so recessed into the new dino tail, you have to undo everything you just did to pop them back on.
When it's finally done, it looks like you did everything wrong.
This is the worst engineered thing they have done in ages. If ever.
IT IS A NIGHTMARE

"Hot mess" is under selling it.
Great looking (if too small) robot. If it weren't for that, this would be the worst purchase I have made in a long time

Oh dear.
I have the first four deluxes and they seem ok. Sad to hear Grimlock got the wooden spoon.

Hotrod is the polar opposite. Clever, while simple transformation. Nice car. Great robot.
He's just desperately in need of a reprolabel set.

I remember one of those pre-SS dinobots that had random robot feet hanging off the Dino mode. Might have been Steelbane. That was a bloody awful toy too.

Just looked up Steelbane on the wiki and wow.
He looks okay until you notice the foot just placed on top of his tail. That's so lazy!
<Edit> And the back of his head!

Ah, it was that one then. I thought so. He was a terrible, terrible toy not helped by tolerances so poor he couldn't stand up. Transformed once, back in box, never looked at again. edit: yes, random robot feet on neck and tail

Amazon now has upped the amount of Tiny Turbo Changers you can get from 2 to 5 and lets you order more whereas previously you were forbidden if you had them in the past!
WE PLAY THE CONTEST AGAIN.

I've been trying to think what toys were skipped in the UK. We didn't get Gnaw or Alpha Trion did we?
Rack N'Ruin was very limited (annoying as the one I found had horrendous QC and fell apart).

If I’d known he wasn’t going to put in a proper appearance I would’ve got her to bring back more. (Aside: The phone wants to autocorrect Alpha Trion to Alpha Troon - the legendary fourteenth Prime of Ayrshire, clearly...)

Also, another Grimlock, which is being passed on. -Ralph

Do you have some kind of gravitational pull when it comes to Shockwave toys? They seem attracted to you.

Oddly that is in keeping with the series. Shockwave produces loads of little tiny versions of his alt mode. Also huge versions too. Massive tanks.

I tried watching it. Bumblebee (annoying) and Windblade (bland) are terrible characters and as they are the main ones I just couldn't get through it.

It has been pointed out a few times that the later episodes compared to the first are a totally different show. Season one suffered because of that focus and the restriction that most episodes were flashbacks to filling in bits of Bumblebee's lost memory, but seasons two and three open out dramatically. Those two characters are just part of an ensemble. If anything the most prominent characters aside from Prime and Megatron become Cheetor on the Autobot side and in season two Starscream gets a big subplot. No one's going to claim it's the greatest TF series ever made, but it does have the benefit of having no human characters and Season 3 is set on Cybertron. It's a fun watch. Season three is on Hasbro's youtube and it isn't region locked.
Anyway. Give this link a minute of your time - it's the scene from season 3 ep 3 when Shockwave's tanks appear.

Hasbro UK stopped selling Warriors a while ago. Drawn a blank on sourcing a Gnaw. No Deluxes here either.
We will never see these.

I have hunted like buggery for Cyberverse Gnaw. Yet to find an online shop which sells it!
