Although having ONLY kept the inserts, there's no way to identify which toy it came with. Soooo... one of the Autobot Deluxes is a Sergeant in the Land Infantry. But, umm, I don't know which.

I'm sure that in light of this new revelation someone is scrambling to update TFWiki...

ATTENTION, ATTENTION!
Springer is not a Toy for Ralph.
Admire the robot, do not under any circumstances try to transform him!

I enjoy his transformation. Once i got used to it, i found it kinda clever

You might, but I know Ralph. This is a "fling it across the room and use bad words" toy. Instructions are useless, nothing tabs in right.

Oh man, I thought this one would at least have that going for it over the T30 Springer!

It's a little awkward at first. But it gets easier once you have it learned, and mine tabs pretty well. It can take some massaging, but once you get it, it's really stable. Maybe Phil got a bad one, or I got lucky.

Siege 3 pack is here, lots of photos at Flickr: www.flickr.com/photos/philip_ayres/albums/72157710798674441

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/payres/posts/10156645626922291 Some highlights: Box: what a nightmare! It tapers towards the centre! So it needs to be opened at both ends and two trays in card surrounds, consisting of one of the main deluxes plus bits of the Weaponiser/Powerdasher, slid out, one from each end. AragaonCog, repainted and with a new head. MirageInteresting. TF was nicely fun but there's a securing step locking the arms onto the body of the car i couldn't quite co-ordinate right and didn't want to force with clear plastic. Got it second time, a little gentle manipulation. ImpactorA proper, decent Impactor and he doesn't disappoint apart from the con symbol Tank Mode: turret swivels and main gun barrel elevates: he passes the tank test! Feet were a little reluctant to stay anchored to the back of the waist in tank mode: there's a pair of tabs, one goes into each foot. However I sorted that by flattening out the legs and waist, there was a small bend at the hips first go.

I had, based on the renders, previously assumed that Impactor was a "leftover" PotP design that had been held back for use in this line. But seeing your photos the design definitely looks more Siege-y than I was expecting. And good.

But do you get the 3-pack version or the wave 4 standalone version?
Or both?
DECIDE!!!

You end up with both because you want all three Powerdashers and Impactor with the correct faction symbol.

Also IIRC correctly the standalone Impactor has a different head?

It does. Hence why I looked at if you could swap the heads. I think so, but you'll need to swap the neck panel too.
But 3 pack has better head

Yeah, but he looks even shorter than the others. Platform shoe time again like Shockwave.

The play pattern for Siege Leaders has been smaller robot with hunks of stuff to stick on them.

Maybe he's designed to scale with the TR triple changers?
|
|
|
Post by Pinwig on Sept 12, 2019 21:59:14 GMT
You mean he's designed to scale with his former self? Intriguing.
Hasbro have said all the way through this line that they're trying to do what they've done with studio series and keep the figures relative to each other using the Sunbow scale. It seems odd to me that that decision alone determined the Leader scale would now effectively be Voyagers with extras, but I'm glad that it means we now don't get stuff like TR Soundwave and Megatron looking stupid next to each other. The slight height differences among the Deluxes makes a huge difference to a display.
