Okay. I know I should vote Blot, because who doesn't love Blot? But I'm also applying the same criteria that I applied that made me not vote for Bumblebee in the first minibot vote, and that is: What stands out more on the catalogue page? Unfortunately, that's not Blot, since he's shoved to the corner. Sinnertwin with his bright-yellow two-headedness is definitely a contender. But the clear winner is Rippersnapper. He's a walking land-shark! That's ridiculous! He gets both my eye and my vote. Which also makes this the first time I've not voted for a group leader, I think. The rebellion starts here! DOC'!!! WE GOT ANOTHER ONE!!!

The Terrorcons were my first complete combiner as a kid, got the set as a xmas/birthday pressie from family, so I've always held a special place for them. Toywise, Cutthroat was my favourite, loved that his gun could be used as a tail in bird mode. I always hoped when a modern version happened, it would take ideas from the Studio Ox artwork. The limb bots using some of the beast limbs in robot mode really adds something to the design, especially with Sinnertwin and his stubby robot arms [like the original toy]. Here's some bad photos of the artwork from the Generations Deluxe book:

Rippersnapper for me. He's the one I had as I kid and I always loved his monster mode. Apparently he turned into a robot as well, but I can't say that was ever quite as interesting as the Shark monster

I know, we've got our work cut out for us, Doc'. Righteous revenge etc etc. Blot still has a healthy lead, but I'm surprised the members of his supporting cast have received quite so many votes. Except Rippersnapper, I knew his (admittedly cool) land-shark alt mode would cause folk to stray from The Light... from The Path Of Righteous Blot Truth... the poor miss-guided heathens...

Week 42: What is the best Targetmaster Autobot on the 1987 UK catalogue? You may recall we decided we were only voting on the new Targetmasters in the main poll, and treating Hot Rod and co as carryovers from the previous year. An opportunity to vote on all 6 will arise shortly!

Pointblank! I love his shoulderpad/wing design as well as his wonderful car mode and remember seeing him in the TV advert when the toys came out in 1987. My Dad was a greengrocer and so I took on the job of selling strawberries from door to door in order to raise the pocket money to buy this toy - and I achieved this goal. So I treasure Pointblank as one of the toys I felt I really worked hard for. A shame he is wearing his shield as a pair of pants in this catalogue though. In fact - all the toys pictured here have something wrong with them except for Sureshot.

Pointblank has strength 7, the others 6. Crosshairs has intelligence 8, the others 7. Sureshot is the fastest (6), Crosshairs the slowest (4). Crosshairs has endurance 8, the others 7. Pointblank has rank 8, the others 6. Pointblank has courage 10, the others 8. Pointblank has firepower 6 (sonic blaster), the others 7. Sureshot has skill 10, Crosshairs 9, Pointbkank 8. Overall, they're pretty good except perhaps on speed. Martin

I know virtually nothing about these guys. And just realised I had Pointblank and Crosshairs the wrong way round in my head all these years. Look nice chunky toys actually, but they're 'Transformers', not 'Robots in Disguise' now.
Techspecs surprise me. Sureshot and Pointblank look faster. An 'Enforcer' with rank 8 seems a tad high. And what's up with their Firepower? I thought Targetmasters would have much higher firepower!

Very good Bios for all three though. Very good. Good inter-play between Autobot and Nebulan. Interesting personalities. I bet they'd be an interesting team in fiction.
My opinion of the Autobot Targetmasters grows!

I remember Sureshot & Crosshairs had their colours/names switched in their first introduction in the comic. Strangely, Crosshairs looked just as toy accurate with Sureshots robot mode.
