.... In the other thread.
Actually it may be the week after, I have an itch there was something else we needed to do first.
Meanwhile I don't think you need to be a genius to work out what's coming tomorrow.....

Triggerbots....
I think one of the reasons I like the Triggerbots so much is that they are pressing a nostalgia button by having chromed weapons, something not seen since the earliest days of the line.
Than in turn makes them look a grade above some of the other smaller toys of this period

Windsweeper, obviously.
He's Decepticon and a plane and has the spring loaded chromed weapons.

Do Crankcase's guns smash out of his front windscreen and kill any humans sitting in his front seats?

Ruckus's function isn't air assault or ground assault - it's 'combat assault'. Just to clarify what kind of assault he's assaulting you with. All the Triggercons have strength 8 and firepower 8. Ruckus has intelligence 8, Crankcase 6, Windsweeper 3. Windsweeper has speed 7, Ruckus 5, Crankcase 3. Crankcase has endurance 9, Windsweeper 7, Ruckus 3. Crankcase is the leader, Ruckus the dogsbody. Ruckus has courage 10, Windsweeper 9, Crankcase 7. Crankcase has skill 8, Ruckus 7, Crankcase 6. www.ntfa.net/universe/english/index.php?act=view&char=Crankcasewww.ntfa.net/universe/english/index.php?act=view&char=Ruckuswww.ntfa.net/universe/english/index.php?act=view&char=WindsweeperCrankcase survived to the end of the original Marvel comic by not going on the Matrix Quest. Ruckus and Windsweeper surrendered to the Autobots at the end of the MQ and were Never Seen Again. Crankcase's "juvenile 'I'm-better-than-you-are' need in him stems from his youth, before he became a Decepticon. At that time he was little more than a gangly collection of circuits and servo-motors, performing a menial janitorial function in the Fuel-Spill Section of the Ministry of Energy and Nutrition on Cybertron. More robust fellowworkers mocked his feeble physique and bullied him. Feeling alienated from and hatred of established society, Crankcase eagerly joined the Decepticons when they began their war against the Autobots. Megatron himself rebuilt Crankcase to give him increased bulk and strength. Crankcase's first action in his new body was to attack the Ministry of Energy and Nutrition. Millions of years later, the fuel spill he caused has yet to be fully cleaned up." Martin

Like Galvajim I know have no connection to these.
Aaaaand.... The toys do little for me.
Aaaaand the Techspecs are fairly unremarkable. Not terrible, just unremarkable.
However...
There is one gem here...
As Martin pointed out...
It is, the glorious function of-
COMBAT ASSAULT!
SUPERB! A completely ridiculous utterly meaningless function! I love it! I want to be a 'Combat Assaulter' when I grew up! It's like calling someone a Battle Warrior.
And Ruckus has the best personality.
RUCKUS!!!

YES! Join me, brave noble Doctor! And together we will stand against the shiny chrome sluttery of Big Phil and The Pinwig! THEY MUST BE STOPPED! Um, Prowl had chrome weapons. Also bear in mind that the Triggerbots/cons who lack chrome weapons are slow to draw their weapons compared to those with chrome. They're like whirrrrr-clunk-BLAM! as opposed to click-BLAM! Martin

Prowl wasn't obsessed with his chrome. Whereas Big Phil, and probably Pinwig, have an unhealthy obsession with fast moving chrome.
On a serious note, I find it funny that there are two different weapon gimmicks. I wonder why they just didn't use one weapon gimmick with these and their Autobot opposite numbers.

Surely that's clunk-whirrrrr-BLAM? Trigger, mechanism, shot? There's an admittedly not very loud clunk when the weapon comes to the end of its slow journey from holster to firing position, so maybe Ruckus, Crankcase and Dogfight are more a kind of click-whhhiiirrr-clunk-pause-fot-a-cup-of-tea... phut. Though it's academic really, as they're dead as soon as their enemies go click-BLAAAAAM!!! Martin

Wait, what is this conversation even about?
I've seen some of these figures on the Fu stall. They're tiny! Tiddly things.

Normally my vote would be for the jet, but... look at it. Those colours. No.
So instead, my vote is going to have to be for the one that stands out the most. Which is... Eh.

Crankcase! I wanted this toy since I see him in the Marvel comic. I was annoyed that he didn't have the masked face though. I love the way the guns break through the windscreen!
