Top Spin is so lame he mysteriously acquired a flying mode in fiction rather than sticking with the aquatic mode he actually has! LAME. But that's not Top Spins fault! Top Spin is -clearly- so cool, that the writers didn't know how to handle him!...just like The Sentry...

This is a Space Tank that turns into a robot. It can do things human tanks cannot! Recall how it BURST OUT FROM UNDER THE GROUND in Target:2006!!!

Honestly, I thought Twintwist would walk this one and am astonished by the current 12-7 position in favour of Topspin!
I must issue a final plea for those who haven't voted and the Topspin voters who have realised the error of their ways to vote correctly and right what would be a grave injustice!

You thought Topspin would win and are astonished he's winning? Or is it the relative closeness of the vote?

I thought Twin Twist would win. I'm tired, in pain and got confused between the two, not for the first time this week.....
..... which is what I assume most of his voters must have done!

Week 10: What is the best Triple Changer on the UK 1985 catalogue?

Now THIS is hard!
It's the 80's. And they make two toys with not one, BUT TWO, decent earth vehicle modes! Amazing! Both are superb. I had Astrotrain. My brother had Blitzwing. Jet and spaceshuttle are equally cool. Tank is possibly cooler than a train, but there is an element of whacky awesomeness to a train transformer. Two great figures! HOW'S GIRL TO CHOOSE?!?!

It sure is a hard choice. I've always liked Blitzwing's colour scheme, and his appearance in The Transformers The Movie brings a smile, but Astrotrain has a much bigger role (at least his name gets yelled much louder) so, despite his dinky arms he gets my vote.

Blitzing here. Although if they had released it like that then DARK ASTROTRAIN may have gotten my vote.

Blitzwing. Astrotain is probably the more effective triple-changer, but Blitzwing takes it on slightly better robot mode and general looks (I love those colours).

Blitzing here. Although if they had released it like that then DARK ASTROTRAIN may have gotten my vote. Yes Astrotrain in these colours, his cartoon colours, looks much better than the light-grey Astrotrain. I'm still torn. Blitzwing looks so good. Yes it is the colours. And the alt modes compliment eachother. But Astrotrain is so unique and whacky. And I love how bonkers he is in the cartoon. GHAAARRRGHHH!!!

How is Astrotrain holding Blitzwing's weapons? Are they glued on?
This is the first poll in which I don't know immediately where to put my vote.
Blitzwing had built-in firing missile launchers, and a sword, and three fold-out landing gear and those little fold-out purple tail fins. But his feet are a bit silly and each vehicle mode has too much visible of the other vehicle mode.
Astrotrain is more special in terms of what he turns into, but the one I owned had floppy legs and his chest shield gets in the way of his arms.
They both score points over the Strike Planes by not requiring bits to be removed and stuck on when transforming. But the vehicles themselves aren't as good as the Strike Plane jets.
Both are impressive yet flawed.

I am torn. I have had both toys in the past. Blitzwing is a tank and tanks are cool but Astrotrain has a steam train mode and Ralph loves trains.
Nnnngh.
