You say that like it's a bad thing! Only in the sense that it meant I couldn't decide between them, and so didn't cast a vote. I don't think I voted last week either for the same reason. Martin

For some bizar reason I had a G2 Silverbolt. Not new, but I did have one. No idea how or why or when or... if.
The red and blue on him looks good.
This is the first time I've ever seen the others in their G2 outfits, and they all look rather dull.
Silverbolt wins.

After the Constructicons, an opportunity for nicely colour co-ordinated Aerialbots.
But no.
They came so close.
Why _one_ gold Aerialbot? Why not two or four, or none, so that Superion looks reasonably symmetrical?

Yeah, the gold Aerialbot looks very out of place.
And one of them appears virtually unchanged and the other two are BOTH blue and white.
Yeah, the more I think about it the more the colours of the G2 Aerialbots annoy and offend me.
As Martin said, should have been unified.

I could never get over how dull these looked. And that's not something one should have to say about a G2 toy! If any TFS needed stickers, it's these guys.
Slingshot is always my favourite Aerialbot and that should be the case here - the bronze does look different. But he crumbles to dust so I cannot vote for the toy.
So it has to be Air Raid as has the whole Spiderman Plane deco going on.

Did Silverbolt come with the G2 Decepticon jet missile launchers? I've never seen that before.

Air Raid is the one that looks like a strike plane in jet mode. He was coloured like Skywarp in 1986 and now he's Thundercracker.
Slingshot is the gold one that crumbles to dust
Fireflight is the Red and White one that looks the same both times.
Skydive is grey
And we assume you know who Silverbolt is?

Did Silverbolt come with the G2 Decepticon jet missile launchers? I've never seen that before. Yes. And with ports to mount them on under his wings if I remember correctly - will have to dig mine out and check. He does. Silverbolt gets the G2 Jet launchers and Onslaught gets the G2 car launcher. The alteration made to his backpack would stay on the mould from this point onwards. It's the original Silverbolt mould's last outing so we don't know if the changes made their would persist. The G2 jet launchers would also have come with Motormaster, which would have been their only appearance not on a jet. It's reasonable to assume that Hotspot would have also received an additional weapon but no sample of him has ever been found with a G2 weapon. Would he, like Onslaught, have got the G2 Car launcher or would he, being a fire engine, have got Inferno's water cannon?

For some bizar reason I had a G2 Silverbolt. Not new, but I did have one. No idea how or why or when or... if. You could well have had one. The Aerialbots, and their opposite numbers the Combaticons, weren't officially released in the UK. But the US versions of the Aerialbots were, like the G2 Minibots, imported by Hasbro UK an sold as an exclusive in Woolworths. The Combaticons weren't :-( So what happened to all the Onslaughts that were in cases with Silverbolt in the US?

The colours of G2 Superion's legs are wrong in that catalogue picture. I think the Aerialbots used in Superion are hand painted mockups made from the originals, hence Superion's legs still having Silverbolt's chrome which was removed in the final release. If you look at Slingshot the gold is far brighter than on the release version. The feet and the hands of Superion are also the wrong colour..... or possibly the wrong feet and hands! The detail in the picture isn't good enough to be sure but Superion's hands and feet have never come in those colours.

Silverbolt gets my vote then. Most eye-catching colours and he gets new guns. He's a step up from the original release.

Which one has the Spider-Man deco? I'll vote for that one. -Ralph Air Raid. The only one of these I bought as a kid was Skydive, so I have voted for him - despite him having the second dullest deco of them all (behind Fireflight having the same one as G1). What was I thinking as a kid? Jonathan

I'm glad I'm not alone in being unimpressed with the G2 decos. Having decent access to all of the Combiner Wars box sets via my agent in Singapore I picked up the Aerialbot set as a matter of of course, because they're my favourite of the SPECIAL TEAMS and also G2, so I had to. And... I was suitably unimpressed. I think the original colours are much better, And much more lively - these are weirdly muted.
But I guess if I had to pick one I'd pick Bluebolt, just because he's the one that's the most different.

One thing that's really stupid about G2 is that fandom (e.g. TFWiki) categorises it as part of G1.
Surely if there's _anything_ that by definition is _not_ part of Generation 1, it's Generation Any Other Number.
