I mean its being bought by adult collectors. I think Hasbro, probably rightly, assume most of the buyers will not be playing with the set.* They are buying a diahrama to display their Star Wars figures in/on/around. Thats why its modular, so that it can be broken up and arranged however best for the individuals display space. And thats probably why it doesnt have a proper floor. Chunks of plastic flooring with random gaps between may not display well. Which is why I'd prefer (if this was something I wanted to buy) to see it include a load of playmat syle printed floor and wall panels so that the shelf/display space can be decked out as required. As a concept I think this is great. I dont buy Star Wars so Im not interested in this and Im not sure on the price, but an Ark interior take on the same idea would be massively tempting. Though the price/ quality of the unlockable tiers would be a potential deal breaker. *even if not most, enough to back this project. |
