I can see the appeal to hipsters and gadget fiends (myself included), a phone designed to be pretty much just a phone. A way to stay connected on some level, but still fairly off the grid from a social media perspective.

Its the sort of phone I'd be into if it had a camera on it. A decent camera for my budget is always priority one for me.

I flip flop back and forth between Apple and android devices, with a few blackberry's inbetween.
Truth to be told, for me I loved my Palm Treo 650, still wish Palm hadn't screwed themselves up. Touch screen (with stylus) and physical keypad - best of both worlds.
I like the idea of the Lightphone and in news that will shock noone I backed it (I got in early and did it when it was half price). If they hadn't brought out the previous version I probably wouldn't have.

A Note or similar stylus phone is on my list but I remain not a fan of big phones so theres always a clash of desires which isnt really helpful with the costs involved. So I continue to use my now ancient phone.

I avoid apple like the plague, just really dislike a lot about them and their programming styles. so always had android usually Samsung However I recently purchased a Huewei Honor 6A on an amazing contract from 3. It's a brilliant phone, very good camera, very cheap and I get lots of free stuff from 3

So I continue to use my now ancient phone. Loved the Note - had 1 through 4. Ditched 5 when they went for non expandable storage and obviously after that they had their issues with exploding batteries. It was a great portable sketchbook, great fun for long train journeys. I'm not too bad at being able to avoid looking at my phone. Due to work requirements, my phone is in my pocket during the day, but looking at it on the floor is a no-no. So it's breaks and lunches that I consult it, but I can be bad if I am at a loose end sitting about though.
