Account 73 may have existed at some point for a user we've banned, removed or has left the forum. But currently User 73 doesn't exist! Highest User number is 466 There are 183 missing user numbers under that number, most of which come in clumps together so they look like spambots all registering together. The lowest missing user number is 12 and I think that's probably one of Graham's earlier accounts given the identity of those registered that early on. The other missing numbers sub 100 are 63

And over a third of those are spambots, banned, or people who've removed their accounts.
Mainly spambots. We go through phases of having to kill them daily which is why the registrations now need approval.

I put a question into the registration process on my boards that a spambot would fail on to automate that. It's worked really well. New users have to name the league sponsor to register.
