So Syfy's new Krypton started last week.
Following the story of Superman's grandfather Seg-El after the House of El is discredited, as they hurry to stop the coming of Brainiac, Krypton basically takes the only interesting part of Man of Steel, and builds on it.
Watching the second episode now, and I find it enjoyable. Much less superhero, and far more high fantasy and worldbuilding.
Though it's placement in canon is dubious. Goyer says it's DCEU, taking place 200 years before MoS, while Syfy insists it's it's own continuity.
