Emotion Porn- a series or film that is intensely emotional, and every part of it is designed to play on and indulge your emotions.
Usually referred to as Guilty Pleasures, but I feel this is more specific. I mean Power Rangers is a guilty pleasure, but I'd not really consider it overly emotional.
And an emotion porn can be happy or sad. I'd say that most of Studio Ghibli's work qualifies as emotion porn.
Does anyone here like to indulge occasionally?
