I have a quick question, as this was my first time using In Demand's pre-order thing. How long from payment to dispatch does it normally take? They took the money on Monday, but I've heard nothing since.

We have had a really frustrating delay with a UPS shipment with a lot of recent import products, so we know a lot of you expect them to have shipped by now. We spent most of yesterday on the phone to UPS which was super frustrating and still feel we did not really get an answer. I do expect this to be resolved any time, and appreciate your patience.

We are so sorry guys about this, for some reason Purple Dot is automatically cancelling all new pre-orders from 3pm today which is of course when these were launched. They are looking into it as a matter of urgency, and we have paused the pre-orders for now to avoid any frustrations. We have adjusted the Mandalorian price even though we have not had confirmation our info was wrong. We would really appreciate it if you can wait this out and get your order in when this is fixed, we have loads of stock available! Apologies again to everyone.

We have had a revamp of our pre-order system today. The main difference is a 10% deposit is required. The guys at Purple Dot process the payments now (rather than the problematic Shopify solution we were using for pre-payment authorisation) so this will resolve any of the issues with failed pre-order payments being reattempted and a few other back end issues we come across. What is VERY important to remember is this deposit is 100% fully refundable at any time, and can be done manually via the Purple Dot portal as normal. We do not hold these funds, the guys at Purple Dot do which allows them to pre-authorise the payments etc.
I will get a guide up and running soon, of course all existing pre-orders are fine 🙂
I have attached a screencapture showing how the checkout process will look different as pre-orders go through a completely new shopping basked/checkout which are accessed by the Purple Dot icon in top right corner shown by the arrow.
