Not sure if this counts as films or TV as it's a web series on Youtube Red. Since this is a continuation of the Karate Kid film franchise I'll post here anyway. Cobra Kai is a follow-up done brilliantly. The series first begins with a focus on Johnny Lawrence and what he's been up to the last 34 years since the first Karate Kid. He's basically an analogue guy in a digital world and all the making for a great new story. I thoroughly enjoyed this 10-episode revisit to the Karate Kid universe. This series has done so well that Season 2 is already greenlit. The first two episodes are free. Cobra Kai

I don't get this series. Who are we meant to root for other than Jonny? All the kids are obnoxious in some way. I get that the way fights are initiated is some weird 80s throwback, you'd hope a modern show would be a bit more grounded.
By series 3 the ability for the show to trade on nostalgia is severely diminished and you're kind of hoping for more.

Loved Season 1 and 2. Season 3 really had moments that I felt let it down with what I had come to expect from the first 2 seasons. Furthermore, the main focus should be Johnny (as per the last post)and Cobra Kai. Neither one appears to be the focus anymore.
