what.
That looks terrible. I dare you to watch that opening sequence without thinking it's a parody of Have I Got News For You.

I don't hate the animation style, it's growing on me.
I hate that fucking intro song. It's shite. The producer chap comes across as a bit of a bawbag.

The line "I grew up watching Thundercats, my older brothers were super into it" does make you ask what horrible things his brothers done to him when growing up, if he does this to the thing they love.

I honestly am cool with this remake.
It's like the Turtles: they get redesigned and relaunched every year or so, sometimes it's great sometimes it's not. With the interwebz being all cat crazy I can totally see this being a hit.

Unfortunately there has been a horrible toxic atmosphere about this online with people taking 'sides' and screaming at each other even to the point of making beyond the pale rants. Thankfully I have only seen the fringes of this and the unfriend button is helpful but folk still share this stuff. Some of these opinions have even been used to justify absolutely sickening rape related comments.
I hate the binary angry debates that seem to dominate online pop culture now. Why is everyone angry all the time? I watched the promo, had a one word reaction (see upthread: I admit it is not subtle or measured) and mostly forgot about it. I'll give the show a miss. I don't see the need to scream at folk who like the look of it. It's just a cartoon!

When i first saw it I thought it was some parody picture, but later I saw the into clip. The animation style is not for me, but I shall give the show a chance with an open mind when it is released.
There are more important things in life to worry about than a reboot of a classic cartoon being done in a terrible animation style, that the kids seem to love these days. This is for the kids, not we 35+ man children.

After the serious toned reboot failed to spark a few years back Im not surprised they have gone in a different and currently popular direction.
Interested to see the toys that this is presumably made to sell.

I'm not a fan of the style. Never have been.
But the intro is beautifully animated.

I’m hoping, at the most, that the show pulls an Adventure Time and really goes places, despite the cartoony tone,

Guessing here this is from the same team behind Breadwinners (which I enjoyed) and the TMNT: Team-Up shorts (not as much).
I can see my kids giving this one a go. I'm glad to see talk about Thundercats again, even if the circumstances are not ideal.

This does not appeal to me. This is both the nicest, and meanist thing I have to say about TCR.
But even if it did interest me I'd not watch it. I'm so fed up with Cartoon Network's shitty-ass scheduling and godawful treatment of anything that isn't Teen Titans Go, that I've completely written off anything they do.
I was smitten with the last Thundercats reboot though.

The first two episodes have apparently been released, and have _not_ been well received.

By the people who choose to voice their opinions on the Interweb. That's the extent of my knowledge of them.
(Having watched a few clips I am quite clear that I'm _not_ the target audience.)

I've seen them, they're fine. A lot faster paced [and sillier] than the 80s cartoon, but good use of sound effects and music from the old cartoon.
If 80s kids don't like it, they can watch the gritty, grown up live action movie Cats instead.

Just watched the first two episodes.
Probably in the minority, but that was great fun! Loved it!
