I think the teaser trailer should just be Will Ferrel and the kid from the first one sitting on a livingroom floor, sifting through a bin of legos for fifteen seconds straight, then one of one of them excitedly holds a piece up high proclaiming "I FOUND ANOTHER PIECE!" Cut to title card.

The first worked as a standalone movie. Not sure what ideas have been cooked up for this sequel, if it is a related sequel at all. The novelty for me ended after the Batman film, and was numb to Ninjago. Again, my kids will go nuts for this and I'll tag along whether I want to or not  |

Didn't bother with the Batman film. The trailer was enough.
Zero interest in Ninjago.

Ninjago isn't bad at all.
But it was done already, between The Lego Movie, and Lego Batman.
It's the same basic story (father/son/family), and the exact same jokes. There are minor plot point differences, but ultimately it just combines elements of those two.
