Best Game Music Ever

What is the best game music ever? To narrow it down if we pick 2 bits of music & give a few days for any one to comment before posting another 2. Then after a while we should have a short list then it's just pairing them up until we end up with one left (which may take over a year with new games released)

I'll start off with 2 bits of music from 2 games I like with a reason for one winning.

Halo title music V Sonic 3 (mega drive) title music.

Most people would have played both games but Halo wins because people may have played Sonic 3 & Knuckles so you'll not have heard the Sonic3 title music because it is replaced with the Sonic & Knuckles title music. This being why Halo wins in this one.

Halo title is made up of 3 parts - normal Halo, then monks Halo music & Flood.

Metal Gear Solid 2 main theme - PS2



Following that I think I'd have about half a dozen Japanese RPGs.

Actually, Stryker's Run may only have had music on the BBC Master 128. I can't remember now. I was deprived of the glory of Galway et al in my youth. I've only come to the brilliance of his work in later years. Matt Gray has done some barnstorming remixes of his own tracks.

I like all the music in the levels in the Saturn Panzer Dragoon games but not many people would have heard them, so just sticking with games that have been on more than 1 format (Halo being on PC too). First PD games you can get on PC with slow down if you can get the game to play
