That's mad.
Pity IDW don't still have the Who license.

For the life of me I can't understand why if they are doing Sunbow that Guido Guidi wasn't given the gig.

Count me in. I kinda wish this was a much bigger deal than one four issue miniseries.
Because I would love multiple crossovers with multiple TF continuities. DS9/Beast Wars, Reboot/Lost Light, Voyager/Beast Machines, and so on. And maybe a much more serious take that actually reimagines the TFs as existing in the Star Trek continuity.

There is only one true Star Trek/Crossover.
This is not it but I will inevitably give this a try.

I shant get my hopes up though. Especially if it follows Sunbow.
They screwed up the Star Trek/Green Lantern crossover. That should have been all kinds of fun, but they somehow turned it into one of the most boring comics I've ever read.

Nope. It's a shame this isn't a ST:TAS / TF:G2 crossover.

Is the red shirt lion lady going to cop it, or was she a character in the Trek cartoon?

Surely a Star Trek crossover would be perfect if it were set during Season 3 of Transformers? Why didn't they do that? (I know the answer but just saying!)

80's cars and jets just don't look right in Star Trek when there are futuristic ones and spaceships there to use.
Martin's old Star Trek/Transformers crossovers were the best of course - Masterforce was a good fit too!

I don't follow the logic. Star Trek characters have travelled in time to when there were normal cars and trucks so the TF's fit in fine.
Besides, having the 'classic' look robots in this makes it an easier sell to the general punters. Crossover comics tend to cast a wider net. A more casual fan drawn in by it would be a tad confused if it was Rodimus Prime rather than Optimus Prime.
Perhaps Sunbow s3 characters could be used if this sells well enough to warrant a sequel. This would also help give it a different 'hook'.

Hmm. I'm never impressed with fan fave catchphrases being rolled out so Sulu's 'oh my' is already a put off. Will see what issue 1 is like but unless it is an adaptation of Martin's crossover I fear this will be poor.

The ST: TAS aspects are absolutely well done. I could hear the incidental music in my head and it felt like an episode. Character models are spot-on right down to drawing upon the stock animation (diagonal run and close up on Spock's face, etc). The Enterprise bridge even has the correct circumference.
The TF aspects were somewhat muddier. Is it meant to be the Sunbow show or something else? It looks Sunbow-ish though doesn't have the feel of it and has a couple of characters who weren't in that show so I was a bit confused, which pulled me out of the comic a bit.
Fab art and colours. Looks great.
But of a mixed bag. I'd like to read more of this Animated Star Trek comic but without the annoying robots, to be honest!

Thought it was decompressed pish.
Art was on point for TAS, Transformers - not so much, but that was 10 pages of story at best.

It was a tad decompressed, yes. I still got more out of it than any other IDW TF comic I've read in the last five years.
