That looks like it could be quite good. It certainly appears to have the proper lightness of touch that the Big Red Cheese needs to really work.

I know nothing of Shazam, but the casting of Levy in the DCEU was confusing me, I couldn't picture him being the lead in dark and gritty Snyder film.Seeing the trailer it now makes so much more sense.

Captain Marvel is the exact opposite of what Snyder has given us in the DCEU.
His fan nickname is The Big Red Cheese, because he's generally a very sweet natured and goofy character.
Young Justice has one of the better portrayals of him.

Shazam was really good!
I didn't enjoy it quite as much as Wonder Woman and Aquaman, but it's still leaps and bounds over the other DC movies, and even most MCU.

We've already established that your appreciation of the MCU movies is somewhat unique! So you're not allowed to compare other movies to them. That's a new rule! Shazam was enjoyable enough, but it falls into the won't be watching it again any time soon category for me. In comparison I thought Aquaman was much better, and I still find Wonder Woman outright offensive (to the laws of geography). |

Finally saw it.
Not as good as the first one, not as good as Black Adam, but still quite enjoyable.
Darla still steals the show, but sadly much smaller part (at least in her human form).
