Which of these two back-up strips in TFUK was best? YOU DECIDE!

Where's the Inhumanoids option? This poll relates just to this week's THIRTY YEARS OF TFUK post and Phil asserting Visionaries was not as good as Gi Joe. As we all know the overall best TFUK back-up was INHUMANOIDS. -Ralph

As we all know the Marvel UK original ACTION FORCE strips in AF Weekly and Monthly were fabulous and it is a crime that they have never been reprinted in modern trade form.
GI JOE had its moments (Serpentor, Dr Mindbender and Cobra Island stuff) but was mostly rubbish.

Tough call, that. But I would probably go Inhumanoids.
Would I? Probably. Hmm.

The story where Iron Man of 2020 fights black costume Spider-Man is better. -Ralph

Galaxy Rangers merged into Thundercats at the same time Visionaries went into Transformers. That only lasted for five issues until Thundercats went fortnightly, but it was UK originated content.

You can't go around just making backup strips up.

The so called 'silent' story was passable but I wish we'd gotten the invention of pizza story there that follows too!

To be honest much of my problem with the AF/GI Joe back-up was the sheer length of time it ran for and that it kept coming back even when it had been replaced! I had been trained to expect the back-up strip to change every few months so having this hang around like a bad smell annoyed me. The series doesn't annoy me anywhere near as much when read in isolation. It also suited THE INCREDIBLE HULK PRESENTS far more. But does it compare TO KNIGHTS OF THE MAGICAL LIGHT ON AN ALIEN WORLD? Does it ****!!! Rocket Racoon has been ruined by the modern version which keeps the name and the character design and that's it. Awful. -Ralph

It shouldn't but it is one of those cases where the new version pops up so often it has drowned out the original.

Can’t remember what Visionaries was like.
On another note (and reason for posting tonight) the two Hercules miniseries just landed on Marvel Unlimited today. Time for a re-read!
