They were definitely available here, I saw one in a small toyshop in Twickenham, and I found a Biocombat boxed one on eBay tonight that went for £85 quid!
I could also believe there was some excess UK stock that never reached shelves at the time and popped out the system somewhere that I never saw!

Legacy United Cybertron Starscream at Voyager size is one of the more worthy redos that they've done All I can say is: I saw it in a shop, thought: "In no way is that tiny thing worth £35" and choose not to buy it. -Ralph

I gotta say, Squeezeplay is an insanely clever reuse of Mindwipe, and one I would have never called. It gets everything in the right place.
Now lets have Horri-bull retooled from Skullcruncher!

Tigerhawk is, like Cybertron Starscream, an absolutely top choice for a remake but for different reasons. Popular show character again but his toy was barely available at the end of the Beast Wars line as Transformer toys in the US got cleared out for Episode 1. I think I saw the UK version ONCE. When Nick got a boxed one the other year I can recall him commenting on the call "How often do you see those?" And he is TWENTY FIVE YEARS OLD! Yep, I never saw this once in the UK. The only time I saw it (and I know I've said this before, but I'll repeat myself anyway) was in a small toy shop on the Greek island of Kalymnos - which is not exactly a bustling metropolis, so rather surprised by that. The only reason I didn't pick it up was because my girlfriend at the time (who I was on that holiday with) was not at all interested in Transformers and wanted to be out of the shop before I could see how much it cost. Which is a mistake I still regret. So this is a perfect toy for a new version, for those of us without time machines to fix their regrets, and for your run of the mill consumer who doesn't go to toy fairs or conventions...

I don't remember where I got my Tigerhawk, but I also don't recall it taking a lot of effort or costing very much (I have a figure around the £12 mark in mind).
It has yellowed like crazy though, despite being in storage in the dark for the vast majority of the time I've owned it.

If this isn't supposed to be a reuse of something, then like Starscream, I fail to see it.
This guy is excellent

I thought it might be the Chase reuse before we saw Prime Cliffjumper
Nothing obvious is screaming at me saying reuse.
I'll have it again in red, then yellow, then black please!

Now that doesn't look bad at all. I'm not against this one being remade, because the original is a pain to pose at times with the kibble getting in the way, and the action feature is shite anyway, so I won't mind that going missing. The only problem with this one is that, canonically, in Generations he'll ultimately power up into Siege Hound. But let's try not to think too hard about that.

Really like the look of this.
I sold on my original Galaxy Force version in the pre-Berlin purge. Never missed it as much as I like the design I never felt the toy quite matched up to it, and this version looks like it really does it justice.
The only thing that lets it down a bit is the wheels; like a lot of recent releases the wheels look a bit like a cheap afterthought.

This makes me want to reacquire the original. Can't be fucked with remakes where the cyber key does bugger all. Pointless*!

The nose looks too short because of the brown area which is actually part of the nose but not coloured that way on the original

Hot Shot has pushed a very odd button for me. It looks exactly like what it should do, looks a great toy but I'm not sure I want it cos I have the original and it looks almost the same.
I feel very similar about Vector Prime, which looks much better than I was expecting it to
I'm a big Unicron Trilogy fan and am so pleased they're getting remakes
Cybertron & Armada Starscream gave me toys I didn't have which couldn't be got cheap. Armada Megatron & Commander Optimus gave me Articulation. Cybertron Metroplex and Armada Tidal Wave gave me size.
I'm not sure Hot Shot & Vector Prime are selling themselves to me as anything I need but somehow a chunkier RiD Sideburn *IS*
