I always assumed the stardates were just random numbers. I was wrong.
According to the list after the first 4 episodes of DS9 every one or two episodes it switched from TNG to DS9 and later DS9 to Voyager.

Well I imagine for the most part it's very straightforward for most of it. Stardate order probably only kicks in through back half of TNG, DS9, Generations, First Contact, Insurrection, and front half of Voyager.
But you have the occasional oddity like the series finale of Enterprise needing to be watched in the middle of a late TNG episode.

So there are a few episodes that seem to run out of order according to the list I found. It has episodes 3 and 4 of DS9 the opposite way around to Netflix. One of them doesnt have a stardate listed which may have something to do with it.

Stardates in TOS and TAS are just random numbers though.

Oh man they are all over the place.
Watching Q-less. Its fun but Im glad Q didnt become a thing on DS9.

Q-Less felt like a few steps backwards for the character.

Oh weird! By Stardate order Q-less and Tapestry are back to back and a week apart on original broadcast. I wonder if it was promoted as Q Week or something.

I think the best part of Q-Less is the fact that Sisko punched him, and he never went back.

Kira : Perimeter sensors are picking up a subspace oscillation. What the hell does that mean?
That question is not asked by characters nearly often enough.

I've got an OC captain who has that general mentality.
"Hey guys? I need the smart people to come to the bridge. There's Science happening, and I need to know how to go around it."

Kira : Perimeter sensors are picking up a subspace oscillation. What the hell does that mean? That question is not asked by characters nearly often enough. This made me think of the funniest dang thing. Kira in TOS. She would not react well to virtually any of the things that happened to the Enterprise. They beam down to the mobster planet. "This is BULLSHIT!!!" The giant space hand grabs the enterprise, and moments later they see Kira in a spacesuit on the viewscreen throwing hands with it proclaiming a string of bajoran obscenities that Uhura insists will get her discharged if she translates, all while denying that this hand doesn't exist.

I tend to use Netflix as the Star Trek channel so haven't felt any rush in picking up much Trek in physical format (other than having the unrestored TOS/TAS DVD sets) but TNG on Blu Ray dropped to £42 so I could not say no. I have also been compelled to get the TNG films box set for the exclusive Picard tie-in comic. They saw me coming.

All of TNG on telly and film is here. I like how the show box has an apology for the small amount of film elements they could not source:
-WE'LL ALWAYS HAVE PARIS: 2 seconds. -THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS, PART II: 3 seconds. -THE DRUMHEAD: 2 seconds. -POWER PLAY: 1 minute, 41 seconds. -THE FIRST DUTY: 37 seconds.
The set is rated 12 for : MODERATE VIOLENCE, INFREQUENT BLEEPED AND MOUTHED STRONG LANGUAGE.
The films set is rated 15 for: MODERATE VIOLENCE, GORY MOMENTS, SEX REFERENCES.

I can't imagine what consitutes as gore in the TNG films, unless they count the borg queen's robo spine, or F Murray Abraham's facelift.

Wow. Sounds cool. I thought you meant the set was a season, not the whole series and the films for forty quid. Good buy!

Its two seperate sets I think. but the tv series boxset is fantastic. If I hadnt just bought Trek movies 1-10 boxset I might have been tempted by the TNG set for the comic.
Ive actually been surprised how gruesome some of TNG has been.

Yes the TNG set was £42 for all 178 episodes in HD (other than about 2 mins of it). A bargain. I remember getting the CIC VHS tapes. 2 episodes for £10.99!
Yes the films set was seperate and the comic called to me. I thought £40 was a bit steep but knocked down to £32 I thought was ok. The 'movie' versions of BOTB and Chain of Command are also chucked in.

I need to be sensible with that. I have the TOS blurays and the complete films Blu-ray set. When I eventually watch all that I will start thinking about next gen HD.

Watching Parallels, I guess the borgverse Enterprise has always distracted me, but this time I got to thinking about all the other Worfs. I cant decide if they were saying all the other Worfs when they returned to their own universes would potentially wind up floating around in space rather than on their Enterprise.

And The Pegasus. Always liked this one, but now I cant think it would have worked better a few years earlier. Could have been used as an excuse for Riker not being offered any more promotions.

Meanwhile in tonight's TNG Riker waited about 5 seconds before hitting on a planetary sovereign's aide.
