That's the whole headmaster Sunstreaker stuff from Simon's run - which people reading the movie mag don't know anything about. But then what about Kup & anything about the Wreckers from Stormbringer [seeing Cybertron is ok here] - at least in next issue we get to someone new from the main Movie new characters other than Skids & Mudflap.
Nice seeing Soundwave in this issue.

I would imagine the page count for AHM will merely increase for 'Giant Size' issues to keep it to 12 instalments.

I wonder if dialogue and maybe plot will be altered wholesale as the story develops to compensate for, well everything.
Was it just me or did the UK strip end really abruptly?

The days of US strips being altered for UK publication are long gone. You'll notice US spellings are never changed, etc. Titan tend to just print strips as received. I will fall off my chair if AHM is in anyway edited.

I love Starscream's Stars, yes I do. Was it just me or did the UK strip end really abruptly? It did, yeah. Still has more interesting stuff happening than AHM though!

I just brought the comic this morning, I liked the original strip, already have the tpb of the first 6 AHM's so the reprint doesnt bother me at all, I kinda hoped the seeker got named though (i assume the old car was a seeker)

What Titan should've done is run Spotlights instead of AHM. You could use Spotlight Hot Rod for the extra-sized #1; cut all but the Doubledealer pages from Spotlight Doubledealer, and you have ten pages (eleven if you blow up Hot Rod's "the answer was staring me in the face..." panel as the final) to run in #12 as a bookend.
(Spotlights Kup, Blaster, Blurr, Cliffjumper, Metroplex, Ramjet, and Ultra Magnus could all work as choices for the other five reprints for #2-11. Extra points if you call Metroplex "Spotlight Goldbug" when reprinting, just to freak out the kiddies when the mysterious city TURNS INTO A TRANSFORMER)

Not amused that unlike previous £3 editions, instead of extra story pages we get extra puzzles. Hmmmm. Nice to see Auto Assembly get a plug. The cover design is atrocious. So far, volume 1 is streets ahead of volume 2. -Ralph

The cover design is atrocious. We're really feeling the lack of original covers.

Yes, but also the covers themselves are sliding towards generic kids mag design sensibilities where lots of crap is thrown at the page randomly and it looks like a jumble. #3 does not jump off the shelf. I found it by accident looking for something else!

I'll have to pick up issue 3 soon but I'm in no hurry. The comic is just getting a little too kiddie for me and doesn't have the 'suitable for all ages' charm that Marvel UK had.

I loved volume 1. The prequel stories were fun, and the 'alternate universe' storyline was great tosh.
I think volume 2 is suffering because it's just another prequel to ROTF, when better prequels already exist. And it's inherited some of the crap characters from that movie. I'd much rather the events of ROTF had been incorporated into the previous volume's story. I want to find out what happened next to that Prime and co!

I'm assuming the original art will return after exhausting the stock movie images same as volume one. Spotlights would have been a better choice, but so far AHM is too bad. I do miss th ethree strips per issue though. Like Ralph said issue 3 was just full of stuff. Felt like there was no story at all.

I have to say, the disc-launcher that was bundled with the latest issue has been the most fun free gift yet!
Not sure what to make of the AHM reprint stuff. I have the first 2 issues when it first came out but stopped buying the series to wait for the tpb. I think this may drag on a bit for the next year and over. It's good that the young-uns get a chance to read the US stuff too though.

But surely there are better stuff from the US run that the young-uns can read?

I'd prefer the free gift to be plastic tat because I keep the free gift attached to my issues as I have done since issue 1 of v1.

I always slice off the free gift(s) and bin 'em. Then I get down to reading the comic.

You dont want to bin these one - they are cheap sweets - but its nice to stand behind the factory they are made because you can smell them.

Increasingly rubbish covers but free Haribo, wahaay! Good strip this issue - UK one, not AHM though I doubt I needed to clarify that. Not checked the non-strip material yet but I did spot a 25 years of TF feature where for the release of US#1 they go by the cover date, d'oh!

Most of the useful Free gifts like stationary etc I've either kept for myself or passed on. The other stuff like badges, tattoos, launchers and stickers are mounting up in a small collection which I will probably pass on sometime.

I always take the gifts off straight away. Makes the comic easier to read, stops it getting even more mangled and makes it easier to store. I have formed a mighty army of firing weapons now. One day I shall go on a mad rampage with them!

It's starting to look like Guido is starting to get fed up in AHM. He is inking his own work? Does start looking patche at points. I read the 14 pages last night - & what happen in them. some boring stuff in tunnels then Astrotrain showing up after Meg's tell Starscream he is great.

Shouldn't this have been last issue's cover? And where's the promised Sideswipe one?
On the plus side, the strip continues to be fun and Starscream's Stars is brilliant.
