I dunno man, I'd kinda creeped out being stared at by a phalanx of Prowls every time I wanted to take a tinkle.
Anyway, I made it to the interview I had today, a three hour one way drive (6 hours of total driving today, no wonder I'm wiped) and seemed to do well. I didn't feel too confident mainly because I need to learn to have the confidence to be assertive in my answers rather than passive. But I did well enough to make it to the final round of interviews, one of three people to do so. So in a week's time I'll have to drive back there and probably stay overnight due to dinner invitations with the CEO (!) and whatnot. Oh boy. I have some study to do between now and then and also I need to come up with some intelligent frigging questions to ask. Shit I couldn't think of anything today and that's another sign of passiveness and a lack of curiousity. I will need to bring my A game if I want to get this job.
Oh and 35 minutes before the interview I discovered the seam of my pants had split up my ass. Jesus Christ. Had to pick up a travel sewing kit at a service station and spend 10 minutes frantically sewing my pants back together in a petrol station restroom! At least my ass stayed in my pants for the rest of the day.

Really stressed. Applied for a part-time temp job via CV and letter as requested. Then, an hour ago I just got told no you have to do an application form an dit has to be in for Monday but it's one of those forms where words jump about the page when you try to fill in the boxes or you type in a box but then can't edit with it and the formatting is all over the place. My head is pounding. It's impossible to fill out this fucking form! How the fuck are you supposed to apply for this?

1. I've eaten too much Pro-Biotic yoghurt this week - draw you own conclusion about what my bowels are doing.
2. Check out below, to see what has been driving me mental at work all week. It's now setup.

The reason for Elliott's Victory Dance. Friday 5pm. Some might say this is just my job, some might say I've been doing this for 11 years and I should be able to do this in my sleep (sometimes I do). It should just be a matter of plugging and plumbing stuff in and turning stuff on, yeah? Well it's not. I've had problem after problem this week. It's needed planning, organisation and sharp execution to get it right. It started first time when it was ready to go, no leaks, no surprises and no wierd electronic glitches. This is a victory for me. (this fluff was culled from my FB page)

That looks skill! . Feel free to add me on Facebook, Eliot. I am www.facebook.com/hero777 there. Had a good day today looking for jobs, updating my CV, sorting out uni refferals and all sorts. I managed to sit back and finally watch my 99p Visionaries DVD and got through the first 4 episodes. ===KEN

The Visionaries cartoon is so well done on every single level, from the animation to the writing and voice acting. It could seriously pass for a modern cartoon (apart from the fact that the writing is very mature and not WOO POOOOO like lots of modern stuff seems to be)

A somewhat hectic day at work to end a hectic week. I seem to have spent this week having nice things said to me by colleagues, whilst dealing with things that make me wonder why I do what I do, and being unable to remember what the answer to that question is. I'm not sure whether my confusion is because this combination does not make sense or if I'm starting to figure something out. I am rapidly coming to the conclusion though that I'm not sure I can envisage doing what I do for another thirty years. The exact nature of what I plan to do about this remains slightly elusive however.
Sorry to hear that you've had issues with the application form Ralph, but glad to hear that Andy was able to be of some assistance.
Dinogrrl, I shall keep my fingers crossed for your second interview. You've obviously made a positive impression on them for them to ask you back at all so that has to be a good sign.

(although it looks like you'll need emergency surgery, not first aid when you switch that monster on!)

Spent the day colouring this: It is for the American 'Slagacon' convention, the deadlines for the art are quite tight, so it is looking to be a test of my colouring endurance!

I no longer work at Toys'r'us. Yesterday was my last shift. Tonight is a workmate's birthday party, and Tuesday is my leaving do. Then that's it. All ties are severed (barring Facebook, most likely).
Nearly seven years of my life. Huh.
Still a bit befuddled over the whole thing. Finishing at TRU, doing Toy-fu at AA then jetting off to another continent to start a fulltime postgrad degree all in the space of two weeks. Yeek.

Good going Nickos, sounds like you're on a fantastic adventure! It's always strange leaving something you've done for so long, but it has to be done.
As Duke Leto Atreides said in Dune: "A person needs change. Without it something sleeps inside us, and seldom awakens. The Sleeper must awaken!"

Got the next week off. I began my holiday by finishing off Battlestar Galactica and replacing my broken DVD player on Saturday (having realised that many players not advertised as multi-region are in fact unlockable, including the 30-quid Toshiba one on the shelves of my local Sainsbury's). Then Sunday consisted of reading at church, watching 'Knight and Day' at Cineworld (a far more entertaining, funny and imaginative action flick than 'The A-Team'), having a chicken Caesar salad at the Wetherspoons by the railway station, reading by the riverside by the Millennium Stadium, then catching the train to Bristol to spend a few days with my parents. Sister joining us on Tuesday. Parents' computer has just been wiped so I spent a couple of hours last night reinstalling everything and getting it back to its old Windows Classic look. Today another pub lunch is on the cards.
Have a positive week, everyone.
