In other news, my old faithful CD player has died. I need a replacement as I listen to Doctor Who audios on CD. I went out today at the time I thought would bypass most of the festival crowd but to no avail. Alas, when I got to Argos, the one in my price range was out of stock. Just got back, very sweaty. -Ralph PM me your addy mate - sure I can dig out an old portable CD player for you

Sounds like a lot of people are having bad times at the moment. I'm afraid I haven't got anything useful to say but I hope things improve for you all soon.

I'm having some bad times too, but I can't into detail.
Aside from that I had an okayish day out in Broadmead, ate some sushi and bought some interesting new TF knockoffs called Robot Plane Corps. I went home and off again for a country walk. Sadly came back to a card telling me that CUTA has struck again and they want some money in exchange for the hostage(s). It's probably my Skeletor VS Molarr set.

After dinner I popped to ASDA and bought a CD player, but it doesn't work. The CD will spin round and round but there is absolutely no sound off this thing either via the headphone jack or the speakers that came with it. I'll have to take it back tomorrow and see if I can get my money back. It annoys me when something as simple as 'need new CD player' becomes difficult. I got stupidly stressed and angry trying to get all the stuff back into the box, which has become a bit damaged.
So evening of listening to audio drama fell through 2nd night in a row and I've just been sort of sitting about.

Took Piglet to The Deep, in Hull, today. Not a bad day, although there was no Octupus. Damn them! THEY OWE ME AN OCTUPUS!!! The Jelly fish were fab though, and don't get me started on the Seahorses!?! They must have come to Earth from the planet Jupiter or something! They blink as well! And seem to be propelled by tiny little magic fins on their sides! Why isn't there a Seahorse Transformer?! Amazing little things. Piglet had a great time, and came away with a rubber turtle. I tried to get her to buy the so-cheap-not-even-Doc-would-StarDub-them transformable dolphin/shark toy, but alas. And at seven squid (Ha!), I wasn't even going to buy one and send it to Doc'! Overcharging bastards. They owe me an Octupus.

The worst part about my hospital trip was not the operation, not the pain afterwards, but in fact all the sticky pads they stuck all over me.
It turns out my body is surprisingly hairy D: Not anymore though, I think I've ripped all my hairs out!

Laura was rushed to Hospital from work last night with abdominal pains. After 8 hours moving from A&E to Primary Care to Maternity/Gynecology they decided to keep her in over night. I got home at 3.30am, fed the animals and got a couple of hours sleep before going back with some stuff for her. Following a billion blood tests (some of which we're still waiting for) she had a scan and mother and 8 week old baby are ok. Thankfully my parents picked us up from the hospital and once we'd got some food I put Laura to bed. Cleaned the entire house other than the Chinchillas' room from top to bottom and now doing 2 weeks of washing / waiting for the oven cleaner to do its thing.

Yeah, anxiety is a great trigger for doing lots of jobs - a constructive way to spend that pent-up energy. Stick with it, mate. Martin

I remember what it's like from all the fun and games we had with Jonathan (many of which were lifted from the old hub and are recorded here) Not a good place to be.

A few days ago I made friends on Facebook with my best mate from school who I hadn't seen for over ten years and last night we got talking on there quite a bit. It was nice to speak to each other once again after all this time and to find out what he had got up to since I last saw him.

All the very best Chris. Hope it goes alright.
After a hectic and somewhat stressful week I have rather enjoyed a couple of quiet days. Spent Saturday doing a bit of clearing out, watching The Prisoner and generally coming back down to Earth.
Today was spent taking advantage of the good weather to get out for a walk in the morning and then in the kitchen doing some cooking this afternoon. My Cheese-and-onion pastie (with a red leicester with chilli and peppers filling) looks to have been reasonably successful. My jam-filled pastry thing that I made to use up the rest of the pasty less so..... it is rather less jam-filled than intended, and the baking tray rather more so.

In the meantime, I look forward to whatever your writing produces. Much as I am an avid enjoyer of the Star Dubs. Martin I have already started! For the fanzine, Escape Velocities, had a short new intro written for it and I have been collaborating with Mr Turnbull on something for next year's Cybertronian Times, about which I will say no more. -Ralph
