I suspect we are going to get a third series of Skip Tracer. Sadly. This IS the third. We’re gonna get a 4TH! You’d think Tharg would read his own forum, where peeps are pretty much in agreement with those here.

It is far from the worst in Tooth history (The Grudge Father is the worst and a thing about a weird creature which was called Bently or Bradley or Harvey or agh I forget).
The art and colours are good. It's perfectly readable. I just find the character and stories to be so bland I am puzzled it keeps returning so quickly!
Och well.

It was tops.

The Grudge Father however...well...I can't defend that.

Nope.
Sorry, talking rot. The Grudge Father is up there for poorer efforts, along with Canon Fodder (a waste of Chris Weston) pish from Mark Millar, Mark Millar's run on Robo Hunter, the latter end of Peter Hogan's Strontium Dogs, The Space Girls (remember them),Outlaw from Prog 1000 onwards.

Space Girls was bad, but Bradley and The Grudge Father were worse.
I would always drop Tooth for a while when Bradley appeared.

Nah. Chief Judge Beeny An interesting theme around Dredd's friends emerging in this story with Hershey, Logan & Beeny. I'm wondering if a few more of the long term supporting, including the mysteriously absent Judge Buell, might show up.... Though we do discover why Buell wasn't on Hershey's last council this week!

Nope. {Spoiler}Beeny is too obvious and too soon. She will be the CJ after Dredd, but the plotters will put Dredd in charge. He's the only one the city will rally round, given he's been staunchly anti-robot Judge since day one.
Also gives you more long term story options with him being forced to be CJ for a while. Also allows them to slowly bring back the spectre of his eventual passing, which they've downplayed a bit in recent years.

{Spoiler}The fact they are going with the attempted coup means there's no way if we change CJ from Logan it can be anyone else.
Wagner has his eye on the long game with his stories now, and I do think he will get to do a "final" Dredd story of sorts.

I agree with andu, a really great story, the little details in the artwork of this are phenomenal nearly every panel pops off the page.

The Thrillcast drew my attention to this: shop.2000ad.com/catalogue/B0011I've said for ages there should be an extension option to add the specials to a subscription, this is just as good. 20 quid for all six of this years special issues. Bonus - it has the publication dates for all of them!

The sub copy of the latest Tooth (#2121) came in a different kind of plastic wrapper! I wonder if it is a move towards better recycling? My copy certainly was in better condition than usual.
It contains the exciting news that Skip Tracer finishes in the following issue.

So what happens next week for Dredd I wonder.
While my prediction isn't immediate, I think it's going to be in play by the end of the year.

Don't agree. Thinks this is part of the road to Beeny in the chair.

Beeny will get the chair, but not before my prediction comes to pass.
Put her in now and she is Hershey lite.
