Ah, that's bad news, Ralph. I'll be back in the UK by Saturday evening so if you're no longer contagious I'll try to get round to alleviate your boredom with tales of hijinks in the middle east and weird souvenirs. On that note, it's all over for now. My presentation yesterday went down very well and the lecturer basically told me not to worry- I passed the midterm and put together a good report and presentation so bombing in the final won't cost me the class credit. I get the impression the exam didn't go well for anybody Just got a lab report to finish and that's that. -Nick

There's no rain in here.
In other news, I have an utterly bizarre feeling of nausea in my right arm now. FFS.

Glad to hear things are going ok Nick! We've had rain on and off here all evening, but I shall prevail on it to hang on to some until you rejoin us. Looking forward to seeing you and hearing the tales you no doubt have to tell.

Nothing like sitting about to make me feel concious of the gut put on since last year. Annoyingly, additional exercise has had no effect of late and now I'm stuck in here. In other even more amazing news, lots of diahorrea continues. Hooray. But enough about me. Robots, ay? They are wicked sweet.

No they aren't I just had my only self intervention while gathering all my excess Transformers together. Bad plentiful car boots tempting me. I had no idea so much was scattered around till it began coming together.

I have no idea what nausea in the arm feels like and for that I am thankful.

It was exceptionally weird and lasted several hours. Then followed the stabbing head pain.

Sounds like you are definitely having a time of it Ralph. Hope that you turn the corner and start to get better soon.
I've had a fairly hectic working week again. Looking forward to the weekend - especially as I have my sister visiting this weekend on one of her rare excursion to Scotland. Looking forward to spending a couple of days with her, and to the fact that the Edinburgh holiday weekend this weekend means that I have Monday and Tuesday off as well - so I've got two days to myself once she goes back south.

Don't know whether you'll get it - not everybody does -, but the Monday is an obscure Edinburgh Bank Holiday(and for some unclear historical reason we get the Tuesday as well....) Karl

I don't get that, but I'm signed off work this Monday so no difference.
Hello, pop pickers! Not having a fun time here. Contemplating stepping outside to put stuff in the bins at some point. Rock and roll lifestyle. Mostly fed up, having been generally pretty unwell since last Saturday.

I haven't been outside since Tuesday and going by the state of the spots I would appear to still be contagious so going near humans is ill advised but if I don't go out I will lose it. A thrilling solitary expedition round the block is being contemplated

Let's see how far I get! I need a few things but there's a Tesco with robot tills 10 mins away, which would minimise human interaction.

Can't get off to sleep, tummy.
Found another declined card problem tonight, hoping it's left over from earlier in the week as it was with BBTS for my Human Alliance wave 1. So that'll delay shipping that out for a day or so.

And while we're on the subject IAN: how long has Mrs Shockers got to go? Don't forget to take the before photo of the tummy. Got a great one of Liz the night before she had Jonathan.

While conducting research for the blog I had to get Mark Lewisohn's Radio Times comedy book down off the shelf. A finner reference tome on Television does not exist. While flicking through to find the section of The Two Ronnies (I wanted to know if The Worm That Turned was written by Dick Sharples and thus a direct adaptation of Prison in Space) I noticed a show called Turnbull's Finest Half Hour.
I'm slightly disconcerted by the thought of what Andu's finest half hour consists of.....

Right now, I should be turning red and sweating manfully while attempting a 5K. The weather looks right for it: cool but not raining. Instead, I'm stuck here on this couch in a T-shirt that doesn't quite fit me anymore. Day 7 of being ill (day 5 since diagnosed). Some spots are starting to crust over, which signals the end of the contagious period apparently. Need to wait until they all crust up/start to fade before I can properly engage with humanity again. -Ralph
