Good grief I appear to have lost the ability to sleep in. Up at 4am this morning, it was sunny so I went for a skate. Now my foot hurts and somehow I sprained my elbow.
Hoping for a more productive week than last. Dads new car has been playing up since it was bought (with the back wheel catching fire remaining the highlight) and its had a constant howling whine noise thats driven us all nuts, but each time its gone to Evan Halshaws (possibly the worst customer service I experienced. Getting sent to the wrong department is one thing but I've been sent to other branches one time all the way to Cardiff) its stopped making and despite us recording the noise and trying to get them to listen to it nothing was getting done. On Monday the car was meant to be collected but nobody showed. They came on Tuesday and took it away and replaced something that had nothing to do with the problem (not that I'm complaining about new parts especially when they are apparently prone to failure) Wednesday it was meant to be collected but wasn't, turns out he booking hadn't been listed and when I phoned to find out what was happening the receptionist started arguing with me then hung up while I was still trying to ask one last thing. Then complained to one of the branch managers (didn't get me too far) and to the corporate complaints line which did. Suddenly management was calling to arrange things personally and to keep me updated. It went in on Thursday and the brakes were stripped an cleaned and when that didn't solve it on Friday we were told they would replace the callipers which are now the most likely fault. Just awaiting parts this week.
Each of those morning I had to get up early (between 2am and 6am) to take Dad to work and then sit around waiting for collections so lots of wasted time. The up side was getting on with a new animation based on the Ratchet Megatron bookmark. Its only a second long right now but looks spiffy with the dot matrix colouring.
