Wow. That beats the rest of the 3P legends designs by a mile. If only that was deluxe size.

Well, it's the police connection that popped into my brain on seeing the name. I dunno. Any better theories?

As good as that New Age one is, I reckon Mech Planet have it pipped.

Yes, Magic Square are knocking out legends at a ferocious rate. They're very popular but they look a bit boxy to me.

THREE 3P PROWLS!!!!
OH MY GODFATHERS!!!!
Magic Square... Oh they did the Huffer we liked recently! Good figure that. New Age did the brilliant little Flipper, and, err, Hot Soldiers are Mech Planet...? Aww man this really confusing...

Hot Soldiers is one of Mech Planet's lines. Another line they do is the Mechanic Studio one - which you have Huffer from.

Oh gosh of course! Mechanic Studio!
Trying to remember who's done what is pretty tough when many have done the same or similar characters/size scales! It's Hot Soldiers, Mechanic Studio and now Iron Factory I've dabbled in so far.

That makes me really glad I didn't pull the trigger on the PapaToys Hot Rod (as tempting as it was). It looks brilliant.
This is the first video review I've seen for New Age Harry (not-Prowl). Another figure that's high on my must-buy list, although I echo the reviewer's hope that Toyhax maybe do a sticker sheet for him. Looks great though.

Goink! Zeta are doing Masterpiece Raiden! Oh fuck! I like the comment on TFW's forum that it'll look like a combiner made out of filing cabinets.

I feel like we are trapped in a terrifying Groundhog Day scenario with all these third party toys Yeah, some of these... More combiners..? How many versions of the Special Teams are there now?! It's good that Nonnef are doing weapons and accessories for Siege, really that's what 3P should be about- Add-ons for existing figures, and figures that fill in blanks, are unusual in some way, or are unlikely to be done officially. Not endless versions of already existing figures. I am pleased to see New Age Jazz, Ironhide and Ratchet. Very interesting. This is an example of the 'unusual figures' 3P should be doing- highly engineered and high detail little tiny versions of characters. There looks like there's a Shockwave repaint of Jazz. Now, I'd prefer them to do their own proper Shockwave, but this does hark back to Alternators. The Fanstoys Brawn, Warpath and Beachcomber are Masterpiece scale, aren't they?

Yes, they are. They look top to me. I know we do get the same figures over and over in 3P, but my perspective is that they all suit different aesthetics so I don't really mind. To me, Fans Toys have nailed the look I want, so I'm over the moon they're doing Special Teams. I need those for my collection because the look and quality will be on the money. There is a shift going on, there are far more movie style figures coming out now than before, and stuff like the beast versions of classic characters. I think 3P is more diverse now than it has been (apart from the legends scale, where everyone's just doing the same thing). I really like the fact there are several options for the same characters, it gives you a choice. If all we had now were Takara's overpriced and over complicated offerings, I'd really be having second thoughts about MP collecting. I don't want toys that look like this new Bumblebee, but that FT Brawn is sublime.
