5 minutes to midnight and I slice my finger open on a can sorting out the recycling and I can't find the plasters. This week seems determined to have the last word.

Well, my parents are talking about divorcing now...can't say I'm too shocked, but still, quite a big life change. I'll of course take my mother's side and stay with her, since dad's an unmitigated tw@t Sorry to hear 'bout your probs at home, mate. Hope it works out ok. I'm sure it will in the end.

Twenty years ago today I was in a major car accident and wrote my first car off round me. Blimey. As a fellow 'Crasher of a Car', what happened, if you don't mind me asking? I crashed 'cos I was going too fast and not concentrating. Stupid stupid man. And I'm a professionally trained driver n'all. Idiot. Taught me a lesson.

Coming down Egham Hill (A30) dead on the speed limit. Someone comes out of Middle Hill without looking and I go straight into the back of them. Shortens the lenght of the car by a foot and I get carted off to hospital. 2 days later (the Friday) my then Girlfriend tells me she's been doing naughty things with someone else for a month 10 days after that (Monday 10th Feb) I fall down the stairs at college damaging my already knackered back. That leads to a stay in the University health centre from Weds 12th -> Sunday 16th. The first night out I go round a friend's and have to lie on the floor with back pain. At that point I notice it's not quite my back giving me grief and retire to bed. The next day, Monday 17th, I wake in agony, nearly crawl up the hill to the University health centre, lying on the floor outside when they open. A few hours later I'm in St Peter's hospital Chertsey having my appendix out. I lost well over a month of lectures from that second term and it was the shittiest period of my entire life.

Blimey, Big Phil, I can see why it was the shittiest period of your life. All in the past now though thanks to Mrs A and mini A.
