How tall are these figures? I've never seen them. How big is Raiden? My memory says the Trainbots are small, smaller than Constructicons

Look at the Diaclone.net links in the first post for this week to see how much space is taken up by the Dianaut's cockpit. I'd never seen pics of the Diaclone men inside the Trainbots before. It emphasises how small they are, was a shock when I saw them in person!

Same! Something about their design made me imagine them to be actually pretty big. Are they a similar scale to Hornby type sets?

Same! Something about their design made me imagine them to be actually pretty big. Are they a similar scale to Hornby type sets? A lot smaller scale. Hornby's stuff tends to be for 00 track gauge, which is roughly 1/75th, 1/76th. The trainbots are closer to half-to-three-quarters the size I'd have expected from that if I am remembering correctly. As far as I can tell, of all the ex-Diaclone Transformers the Trainbots are at the smallest scale. Karl

Difficult one this one. I've owned the KO of all of these, and handled some of the real mccoy... I like them all - they are robots that turn into trains - that's almost as fun as robots that turn into aircraft...
I think that in the end I'm going to have to go with Yukikaze. I like the 200 series engines, the green and white colour scheme is pleasing to the eye, and he has good proportions in humanoid mode - with a suggestion to arm shields that I quite like. Also, he shares his name with a series of Japanese science-fiction novels I quite like, so that gives him the extra point to get him over the line.

Rats, got it wrong this week. Thought it was going to be the Japanese Targetmasters.
Just realised they're not on the catalogue.
