ENTER building LOOK thoroughly
To your right is a computer terminal, along the same wall are the glass doors to the courtyard you just entered from. Opposite is a welcome booth which appears to be accessed through a side door.
The counter of the booth is behind security glass, restricting access to a control panel of sorts. On the back wall of the booth, an open cabinet, empty.
The terminal doesn't appear to have a keyboard or other physical input system.
There's a small green light in the bottom right corner under the display, at least it seems powered despite currently displaying a blank screen.
The closed security gate to the corridor is robust and strong, could certainly hold most things in or out of the corridor at least for a time. It closed via a sliding motion, fixed in place by an automated closing mechanism and lock. Looking at the lock itself, you spot some kind of sensor apparatus with a small red light on it.
On the other side of the security gate your would be assailant reaches the gate. Its one human eye locked on you with sinister purpose. Attempting to get through with force, the gate holds. A device at the end of its robotic arm spins and emits a bright light as it tries to use tools to get through to you. You are at least safe for now, but for how long?

Right chaps. That description has given us the detailed description for the computer terminal too - so I'm guessing we have here everything in this room in as much detail as we can get.
I don't know Borg - what's this spinning device on his arm that is emitting a light? Is it for something? Will it scan something or is it trying to cut through the gate with it?

I don't think BUNCE and ARMED are part of the username - we worked out that was Ambulance Paramedic, Remind me how we explained the missing letters in those words. I assume the Borg's spinning thing is some sort of cutting tool. Martin |

We were told there were gaps in the right places to fit the missing letters and that the remaining letters were also peeling off.
That said, anything is worth trying at this point!

Okay, if we're approaching hint territory, rather than a direct hint, tell us if the answer to this is in the info we already have, or whether we need to find something new we haven't read/done yet to solve it.

Right, so we have the info we need to solve the username and password problem. Somewhere. It did feel like we're one short step from a ride to the city. We just haven't worked this bit out.
Is initialisation logs a pointer to the logs for this computer, or another media reference?
I think it's about this computer because we were told when it booted the logs scrolled too fast to read. So we need to slow them down, or record them somehow and pause the playback. Or get a print out. But the computer itself isn't going to help us until we log in.

The terminal screen flickers, logs scroll up the screen too fast for you to read as it initialises its system, but paying closer attention this time you see some kind of splash screen displaying an animated 4 letter logo and can make out the following amongst the blur;SP-###o###i### #P v###

I'm about thirty minutes into the Christmas holiday. When my head's stopped spinning I will bring my full guns to bear on this. In my head, the booth bit was between the screen and the Borg, but apart from that it's pretty much as I have been visualising it. Although the decor was better in my one, because it said it looked swish in the description. I had pot plants in my head.
As far as I see it, we need to:
Work out how to read the logs
Read the logs, gain the login and password
Log in to the computer
Read how to ride the bike
Get on the bike and ride to the city.

You look at the key card. It has an ID photo of the previous owner on it, with your thumb over one side of the face he looks familiar. Yes, a striking resemblance to the cyborg you took it from.
