Not really. Just a reference to the red eye beam, which is quite pronounced in Stom's illustration. Suspecting the worst as to what this creature is, you gingerly reach around its waist as carefully as possible and ease the key card out so as to not to disturb it from its rest.
Inventry Item Added: Key card (+1 point)
You take a few steps back and breath a sigh of relief. Unfortunately you may not have been quite as deft of hand as you though. The head turns in your direction, the red beam of light from its head implants pointing straight at you, its one revealed eye full of focus and resolve and yet somehow expressionless at the same time. Its not angry, but certainly has purpose. It begins to take a step down from the platform...

No, that was just to prompt you to consider the appearance of the swipe card. You should have also known it had a second use as other items left your inventory when their purpose was served (note - except the note, this is done for Chapter 1)

There are references in the index to copy/paste and shortcuts, which is like ctrl+c and ctrl+v, when we've tried to use the computer, but how is that anything to do with a password? I'm clutching at straws. It has no keyboard and presumably won't respond to any kind of command until we're logged in.

In terms of items and usage we haven't done anything with the pants yet, but they're ours (as per initial description) so presumably wouldn't be anything to do with Enrique or his login.

Which entry in particular do you need to find more info about? I'd start in the index for that one.

I've been up and down the index half a dozen times this afternoon but I can't see anything. We got "ooooh nice try" for Shockprowl and Badmotherfucker, but does that mean it was close in some way? It seems not if the login is elopez.

The first entry 'one' doesn't have an index point because it's in the same post. That is the log of our own initialisation, I get that, but I don't see anything in it that could be a password. And why would Enrique make a note about his login that refers to us waking up?

It really is a lot simpler than all this.
Edit: As an aside, did anyone see Raiders of the Lost Ark today? Those Nazis had the wrong size pole didn't they?

Who knows anything about Raiders? What pole? They had a picture of this artefact with writing on it that said something like "Use a pole 2 metres long to find X marks the spot" but what they didn't know was that on the reverse side of the artefact it said something like "And subtract half a metre". So they used a pole that was too long and dug in the wrong place. Martin

Oh right. So we should be examining one of the entries in the index in the first post, but not the initial entry, or perhaps the oooh nice idea one, depending on which we're talking about.
As said though, I've been doing this for hours and I can't see anything relevant. There's enough in there to tell us the Borg isn't part of the answer (71-73 and 82.5), there's a couple of references to keyboard shortcuts and copying and pasting, and a general feeling of repetition in posts 76-79 like doing something over and over is part of the answer. If 83 is part of it I don't get the reference. But I can't get a word out of any of that.
Post 40 has DELL in capitals and when the computer booted it had an animated four letter logo. Why Dell in capitals? Doesn't seem relevant.

Don't look at the index to find the relevant post, figure out which post you need help with, then look at the index for further direction.

Ok. If this is simple and straightforward then back where we were originally, we need to read the boot log. Which is Index 77 "Have we seen this before" when we tried to stare at it. Nope, we haven't seen it before because it was the first time we saw that. If it isn't that entry then it could be half a dozen different ones. If the initialisation logs reference needs some kind of metacognitive jump to do with something that isn't the computer's boot screen then I'm just not getting the message.
I dunno. I think I have to throw in the towel. I can't figure this out.

The in-game initialisation log says:
SP-###o###i### #P v### C####i## ##M.## ##0% ####f#### R##### 1### ########g #### ######## #### ##a###g ####### ########## #o#e# ###### ########## ###e# ####### #### #### ##########.######.# d####
On 14 Nov. we crashed the game, and its initialiation log was
TMUK-CYOA Script Engine v1.4 Checking RAM... 100% Verifying ROM... 100% Verifying save games... 100% Loading command parser... done! Eating churros... done! Loading game data "awakeroom.cyoa"... done!
So the in-game log can be partially filled in:
SP-Infoterminal XP v#.# Checking RAM... 100% Verifying ROM... 100% Verifying save games... 100% Loading command #######... done! Eating churros... done! Loading game data "awakeroom.cyoa"... done!
The word 'parser' doesn't fit.
Does this help in any way? Probably not.
Sorry, I got nuthin'.
Have we tried the password 'churros'?

Well done!
I skimmed right through and didn't see that. I'm also sure I searched for 'checking' and didn't get that either. Churros is the most likely looking word.
