Note that the connected location won't be revealed until you actually figure out the puzzle solution. I'm not sure about any of this door business. Something doesn't add up. The POI count for one. We can only go into one of these entrances, including the manhole. There are 8 doors and the grate in the alley. That's 9 POIs. You've interacted with 4 doors and the grate, so 4 POIs remaining. |

Obviously the connected location is barred by a puzzle, which makes me think it is the manhole we need to go down. Which suggests we need to use someone in one of these houses to get it open because we can't do it alone.

Dug out the reference to the tunnels:
The new city was rebuilt in recent history, the coming together of various people from all different backgrounds, spreading the message of togetherness and acceptance. The rebuilding was swift, taking care to put precautions in place for the protection of the inhabitants and reusing the wall and gates of the old city. Not much else remains other than the gates and wall, except the various still working underground sanitation systems connecting many of the residential buildings.
So if we can get down the manhole, we might be able to get access to a house from underneath. I just can't think why we'd want to do that when Kasparov is expecting us.

It's a very solid grate, heavily integrated into the alley's street. It seems it is in place for drainage purposes and not access.
Through the grate beneath the alley you see some kind of wide drainage tunnel. There appear to be alcoves leading to steps at various points down the sides of the tunnel, perhaps for access of some kind, but with poor lighting and from this angle it's difficult for you to pinpoint their exact location relative to the houses.

Interesting. There are several hints there that we can't go through the grate no matter what, so why do we need to see through it? Clearly there's a passage down there, and entry to the houses above. We might be able to flick the yoyo through the bars of the grate, but to what end? Our exit from this section of the game seems to be via the boat at the lakeside, so it doesn't feel like this is our escape route.
Intriguing! However, if we can't go down there, we must be going through one of these doors.

When we've exhausted the doors with symbols, I suggest trying to open the door with no symbol. It may not be locked. Martin |

So 6 says Kasparov lives somewhere in 1-4 (if these are the two sides of the street in columns), and 4 says he lives next to 2 (assuming they are the religious people). Kasparov isn't the fish lady, so he must live in the house with no symbol on it. I bet that has a Prowl head on it that shows up under ultra-violet light or something. However, let's just try Martin's clever idea: OPEN blank door. |
