Okay, so an obvious pointer here - "It seems like he may need persuading."
We need to work out how to persuade Rimmer to give us a lift. Which is either going to be about schmoozing him, or actually changing our clothes (which could be why we were forced to drop the poncho/sombrero in the last scene). It may be a coincidence, but in the episode Waiting for God, the Cat spends time being occupied with a yo-yo, which he likes because it's shiny, and we do have a shiny yo-yo.
What's interesting is that we seem to have ticked off all three POI in that last update, so we have to assume that's the barman, the aggressors and the Red Dwarf crew. That suggests nothing else in here going to help us resolve this.

"Heyyyyayyayyrr... that shiny thing? Can I have it? If you do't give it to me I may have to eat you." he asks raising his eyebrows, his focus now entirely drawn to the toy.
"It's a yo-yo, you modo." says the man with the H on his forehead with a condescending tone.
You willingly hand over the yo-yo in a bid to win favour with the group.

"Check this out..." the new owner says pushing his drink aside and standing to demonstrate his new toy. "It does two amazing things. One, you have the shiny thing at the top, and the string down below, or, and this is the clever part, you have the string at the top, and the shiny thing down here where the string used to be."
"Yeah ... woweeee! You haven't the slightest clue what it's for, do you?" says sarcastically the same man as before.
"Why sure I do, grease stain. You hold the shiny thing in one hand, and you go ... aaaooowww! The string's moving! Hey! Stop that thing! Catch that string! Aaaooowww!"
Dave shrugs during this discourse, seems to be normal behaviour for his two crew mates and then addresses you. "Don't mind 'em smegheads. Okay. You guys got yourself a ship. We'll leave as soon as you're ready. Docking bay Fourty-nine."
"Fourty-nine." Kasparov confirms.

I think that concludes the business in the bar. So we're on course now for the ferryman and a lift to the spaceport so we can find docking bay forty-nine. Last time we had that conversation we needed two things for him to give us a lift: proof of alliegance, and someone to vouch for us. We had the proof, because the Mexican prowl worked, but we don't have it any more. However we do now have Kasparov to vouch for us. So hopefully the guy will remember he saw the Prowl. The conversation was:
"Come now, come now. It's not a question of cost, it's about trust. I need something to show me you're not the sort to tie me up and, well, as you don't seem from around here, I need a local to vouch for you."

Result. The jetty is just that, a series of planks connected together, extending from the path out over the water to provide a place such that people can easily tie up their boats and alight or board.
You speak to the man and he answers back. "Look, I thank you for your help with the boat, but there's really nothing I can do to help you. Things are a little, well, dangerous around here for folks like me and I can't really risk going alone on a boat with you, can I?
"I can tell you what though; on the other side of the lake is just more of the city, but there's not really an easy place to to set you down. Lot of money over there and I can't afford the harbour charges. There's a drop off for the spaceport though" SAY to Kasparov, "Follow me." GO to City Plaza. GO to Lakeside. SAY to ferryman, "How about taking us to the spaceport, pal?" Martin |

You leave the bar and make your way back to the lakeside. The man with the boat is still waiting there.
"Ah!" he says. "Looks like you've found a friend."
Kasparov moves forwards and shakes his hand.
"Good to see you again, it's been a while since we last saw each other at one of our Way of Prowl meetings."
"You can vouch for this guy?"
"You're not going to believe it, but... I think he's..."
Kasparov looks over his shoulder nervously before continuing.
"We can't talk here. Let's get going, can you take us to the spaceport?"
The boat owner nods and you board.
It's a short trip around the edge of the lake to the jetty by the spaceport. You alight the boat and thank the driver for his service.
New location: Spaceport (+3 points)
"You should go." says Kasparov to the man. "They're always watching for us."
The two hold the thumb and forefinger in a V shape to their forehead quickly before the man turns and leaves on his boat.
The spaceport itself is much like what you know of an airport. There are several groups of people around, carrying luggage, waiting for friends and relatives or queuing at various booths offering passage aboard various passenger vessels. There are signs directing people to the different docking bays from 001 up to 100.

100 POI. Now you see, I'd guess that Stom has done that because of my obsessive need to investigate all the POIs in locations. But what he hasn't considered is that we might just sit here and go through every one, one by one, just in case one of them contains something important.
Spaceport chaps! Surely we're coming to the conclusion of chapter 2 now. Big progress! Excitement!
I'd assumed the trip to the spaceport would be one way, but no connected locations is pretty cool to see. This must be the last location in this chapter. Also - we're now devoid of any inventory, almost back to square one.
