Ok. So the Man U library has a sense of doom about it and is a tad gloomy but the multicoloured cake is INCREDIBLE. Like eating a giant block of sugar. Only £2! Phil will make the picture appear.

Once the cake is done I go to MMU to see if my SCONUL status lets me register at THE ALL SAINTS LIBRARY.
Will it have the famous pop strumpets inside??

I have already checked the library's zoning policy. Ralph must note that while in the library he cannot: - talk
- eat food INCLUDING CAKE
- talk on your mobile phone
- use devices that can be heard by others
This means Ralph cannot take his record player into the library to listen to his bangin choons while studying. |

Registered at MMU Library. 10 days until My Access Card Of Power arrives.
Much brighter and airier in here! But I see no evidence of a cafe, alas.
Both libraries are walking distance from a tram stop (important for when I am rehoused) so I should have places to go in evenings for when the next OU module starts.
I can see myself in MMU more though. I am of course calling it the Cow Library because MMU sounds like MOO when you say it out loud.
The Cow Library also has a WEST WING!!!

It also has Borg alcoves on Floor 4 and an awesome POWER COUCH by a window on Floor 5.
Yes, yes this is the primary study library for me with Man U as the backup.

I approve. I feel this is a suitable home for Ralph's studies. We may not have a percentage monitor to tell us how full the library is, but we can tell where the free PCs are. Good. Now, send photos of the help desk.

The Cow Library card turned up. I like it for it has an unusually good photo of me on it where for once I don't have a double chin or look haggard/miserable.
I will also be living near Mrs M's library so for the next OU course I will have a choice of THREE library helpdesks!!!

So what we really need is a library Helpdesk that helps with any situation. Has ALL the answers. All the solutions. Advises accurately and supportively and sets people on the right course, giving them hope.
Wouldn't that be good.

Next OU course site has opened so popped to the New Cow Libary to have a look. THE NEW FLOOR FIVE has Snickers Crispy edition in the vending machine! There is also an exciting poster which Phil will make appear. -Ralph |
