Working in city centre this afternoon so popped into library to eat my lunch. My way to the pound drinks machine was barred by a supermodel and a big burly chap. They tried to make me download a magic app to make the machine go. I pointed out this was nonsense and witchcraft. "But you'll get a free drink!"
"No!, I said in defiance, "It's only a pound!" and thunked home the coin to victory.
No app pish for me!

Mrs M says libraries don't have to be silent. General ones: that is correct. An academic library with big signs on a floor saying SILENT STUDY should be, especially when there is a whole floor set up for noise study/discussion. That is why I get pissed off with loud discussions happening on a floor literally labelled 'silent'. -Ralph |
