Hectic day. No chance to stop and think until now. I'm bushed.
However, we obviously need all the info pertaining to Mrs Max's helpdesk. Essential.

Pinwig, I was in the library for an hour last night but did not hear the helpdesk as I was watching videos about cargo cults (course work).

There's a good yet unfortunate reason the panic button under the counter used to connect directly to the Police. Now it connects to building security (as the library is now part of the larger new council building) who will get there even faster.

Just last week there was an incident at one of the other local libraries where a gentleman relieving himself into a bin behind the counter then chased two of the staff who confronted him through the building forcing them to barricade themselves into the staff room.
Bad things happen in libraries. And not just to the Toilets on Floor 5.

That's shocking. In which case, the new wider help desk gets the Hub seal of approval.

Unbelievable. I have the sudden urge to become a Library security guard and Twat these abusive bastards.

And these are the obvious dangers without the consent worry about 'staff fans' who'd like to take staff out to lunch and more.. and tell them... Mrs M has a few fans although (hopefully) they are harmless.

I've had to intervene a few times in libraries when folk decide to look up Adult Material on public computers. It's surprising how many people catch Moron Disease.

Somewhere, in some Library in the UK some person has cracked one off before being caught.
I used to work for a popular multi channel broadcaster and during a boxing PPV one person was left to man the phones, when the rest went to the canteen to watch the fight. Said person used the quiet time to fire up the porn channels and start to crack one off. Security were doing the rounds at the time...

Stalkers. The little notes... the cornering of staff for long exclusive chats.. the attempts at touching... the waiting for staff outside the library etc. It all happens. Certainly more of a worry now staff (who are predominantly female) can no longer all leave together to the car park immediately adjacent to the library and watch to make sure everyone has got off home safely. Then there's the Library Weirdos who while not Staff Fans are a worry for different reasons. And I don't mean the folk who are 'different' for one good reason or another but those who are just deliberately annoying or odd and make life difficult for staff and other customers.

Good God, that's terrible...! I'm speachless...! I mean, I've had my fair share of stalkers, obviously, but... I dunno, stuff like this makes me wonder how a stalker could actually be bothered... Well, I guess just keep at the powers at be to improve security?

Home tomorrow afternoon. Nearly there. It was bloody cold up those climbing towers this afternoon. I'm also fighting the machinations of two evil staff members who've decided to try and pull juvenile pranks on their brave and fearless trip leader (me). So far I have foiled all attempts but must be ever vigilant for the last stretch tomorrow.

The library is currently less than 50% full. Unloved. Rejected. Ralphless.
