I see what you're saying but I'm not sure... TFE's price is the deposit only (look at the payment options drop down) and they have a separate listing for Ecto-1 with a different product code and release date. It would be a really weird repaint for MP10, but we seem to be in silly season for that at the moment anyway. That image on TFW says it's a placeholder, and the release date does match what TFE have put up.
Doesn't make a lot of sense though.

Yep. This is a thing. Not Ectotron. That TFW thread suggests it's a con exclusive in Shanghai, which would account for the long lead time and obscurity.

Well I mean they've repainted the MP-10 mold as pretty much everything else, so why not? Personally I'm holding out for A-Team van colours.

I have a feeling given the larger american fanbase Ghostbusters has, combined with the potentially more limited release, this one is going to make the Evangelion repaint seem downright cheap.

I think i like the photoshop a great deal more.
It keeps the ecto-1 white vehicle, while working in the gb uniform colors in robot.
And if it had the red stripe of the production, that would have even tied it to the reboot uniforms.

I think I like it. It's the first TF in a while where the colours are primarily for the disguise, and the robot just has to deal with it.

I think I need the MP-10 repaint.
I *really* wanted the Eva Prime, but this hits many of the same buttons that did, and will be the first time I have this mold.
Also, I'm pretty sure Ectotron is a voyager to put him in scale with this.
Kinda now wish they were doing a glow-in-the-dark MP Starscream, too.

I imagine they thought of a special MP Starscream. I wonder if that much glow in the dark plastic was too expensive/brittle?
I imagine a transparent ghost one would be extremely brittle at the MP complexity
