The more I see them, the more the white patch on the roof and the bonnet, from the shoulder hinges, annoy me in car mode. Need to be black. Surprised I didn't say anything previously!

I quite like the white bits on the car mode: breaks up the black and gives a contrast.

Got my shipping notice from Entertainment Earth for Red Swoop and Stepper Got the package yesterday. Was really excited. Been looking forward to it all week. Opened it up and.... found studio series drift. Talk about disappointment.

Were you expecting a Drift or is this a **** up?

I quite like the white bits on the car mode: breaks up the black and gives a contrast. -ralph But they're random chunks of white on a black car!

They're evenly spaced out. Doesn't look random at all to me and it's a Space Car anyway.

Were you expecting a Drift or is this a **** up? It was a **** up, but my **** up. I saw "dinobot" on the shipping notification email, and thought it was red swoop and didn't read any further. Having not even heard of anyone getting their drifts yet, but with in-hand pictures of swoop and stepper, I never once even remembered drift + dinobots were a thing.

Seacons aside, I can't help but feel with this line they've gone too obscure. I know the remit was remoulds of fan favourite characters that wouldn't fit the retail schedule, but with the Megatron they went one colour scheme more obscure than fans actually wanted, now we've got a pair of figures from a Japanese manga right off the end of G1, which means another Megatron - incidentally too small to put with the Prime it's supposed to go with unless they've done something mental with the Galvatron mould.
It doesn't strike me as feeling essential like the previous Grotusque, Repugnus, Blast Off, Counterpunch releases did, or as fun as the TR boxed sets were.

The current "exclusive online" line

Shockprowl!
It's Hasbro's recently initiated line of exclusives, sold through selected retailers. Basically the latest version of the exclusives line that last gave us Blast Off, Repugnus and Counterpunch.
They say they want to use it to offer fan focussed releases, repaints and the like. The first two releases are a red chested Swoop and the PotP Jazz mould in black as Ricochet.

It's a line of exclusives that's divorced from the main linewide gimmick of Generations, whatever that may be (currently it's Siege).
It's, atm, generally the replacement for Botcon/Club exclusives and tend to be a bit more like them, than it does typical store or sdcc exclusives.

Hmmm. He's WFC-GS06 Smokescreen. Megatron was WFC-GS01. Who are the intervening four?

Oh, nice, I like the look of that!
We don't have anything for Bluestreak other than the name yet, do we?

Ah, and that reminds me of the Gears reissue! He's never shown up at any of the importers / online retailers has he? He was the only one I was after!

Hmmm. He's WFC-GS06 Smokescreen. Megatron was WFC-GS01. Who are the intervening four? Soundblaster is in that photo, and we know about skywarp. And you said there was Bluestreak. WFC-GS02: Soundblaster (was shown before Skywarp mentioned) WFC-GS03: Skywarp WFC-GS04: ? WFC-GS05: Bluestreak WFC-GS06: Smokescreen This still leaves one completely unknown. It's also plausible Bluestreak is 07.

Smokescreen is one of the most visually interesting transformers of all time, thanks to his deco. How on earth did they manage to make this one almost as boring as siege prowl was?

Lack of sponsors in Soviet-era Cybertron? Got round to opening Ricochet and Swoop today. Very, very loose hips on Ricochet and Swoop not much better.
