The fact he is colloquially known as Piss Magnus and this is an accepted term in fandom tells you he isn't good.

Piss Magnus is great because it was pretty much the first completely bananas recolour of a G1 figure that I was aware of. And I love transparent plastic

The combaticons were still available as gold card figures before G2 weren't they? Those were good recolours but recolours of current figures |

Reissue Ultra Magnus was available at the same time as Piss (who I fully agree is great) so by your own arguement you are wrong. On the other hand, the classic combaticons should have been off the shelves for the best part of 2 or 3 years when the G2 ones came out.
