The fact he is colloquially known as Piss Magnus and this is an accepted term in fandom tells you he isn't good.

Piss Magnus is great because it was pretty much the first completely bananas recolour of a G1 figure that I was aware of. And I love transparent plastic

The combaticons were still available as gold card figures before G2 weren't they? Those were good recolours but recolours of current figures

I don't believe the classic and g2 versions of the Combaticons were availible in the same markets. we missed the G2 versions here.
