RFC's 'This week in history' slot informs us that this week in 1999 Hasbro issued a press release saying the 15th anniversary of Transformers would be celebrated by the introduction of... THE ANIMORPHS!
I was big into Beast Wars at that point and have absolutely no recollection of that at all. I remember seeing the toys in shops and turning my nose up at them, but that's about it.

I've got it on PC. It was truly awful, even at the time. Fortunately, you got a free basics toy if you bought it in PC World, which made up for the poor gameplay. I got Snapper. |

I had a press pack from Hasbro of that game. It also came with a Tarantulas in damaged packaging.
Starting miss my Animorphs. Might have to dig em out.
