You've got to laugh looking at that list. It really is everyone that hasn't had a toy release in the last few years. Not that I'm complaining, is exactly what I want to see. Apart from Smokescreen. Are we now going the other way through the Datsuns? Prowl the Select one this time?

I was actually going to complain about that inconsistency in the storytelling also, but if they encounter the Quintessons *on the way* to Earth then... fair enough. Although that does of course contravene the Holy Sunbow Narrative, and thus renders the whole line invalid and a heresy. They'll have to start again.

Many the storyline will run with Earth = Unicron thing and therefore the Quintessons as servants of Unicron will be there too?

I doubt the reasoning is any more complicated than the Quintessons and Alicons are from 1985, and have not yet had toys which resemble their animation models. Thus, as they come from the three years of Transformers that are permitted to be relevant they must be done at some point, and so are being done now. After all, they've really only got two years until they reset the Generations line to 1984 toys again if I recall correctly.

The way Earthrise Voyagers are playing out is looking a bit interesting. Two revealed, a further three extracted from listings Megatron, Snapdragon & Quintesson Unless there's more of them than there were for Siege I'm not sure I can see where Thundercracker and Skywarp will go, let alone Thrust, Dirge & Ramjet. Putting them into 2020's Exclusive Apocalypse seems a bit harsh and besides the Coneheads will need a bit more retooling than slap a new head on, which has been the case for most Siege Exclusives. |
