It seems to be a unanimous feeling that something is off about Wheeljack (including me, though I don't think I've expressed it before), but no one anywhere seems to be able to put their finger on why.
I think I have it- it's the window on his chest. The translucent plastic is squared off, with little bits that hide under the food in vehicle mode. I think if those little corners were painted white, it would give the windscreen it's proper U shape, in robot mode.
This wasn't an issue with Generations/RtS Wheeljack because that toy wasn't trying to be so faithful.
I dunno. It might be a perfect storm of lots of little things like that that are nearly unnoticeable, but just add up because it tries to be so faithful, where the last one wasn't going for perfection.
But boy that Cliffjumper is way too small. It really deserved to be as tall as Classics.

Everything I'm seeing of Wheeljack is making him look magnificent! Like a mini Masterpiece. That alt mode is succulent.

ooh, with chunky blue-and-red body and white shuttle components, is Sky Lynx the potential perfect robot-mode for a Countdown-style base? So we could have a Countdown-style base fitting the Earthrise theme but it transforms into a pre-existing character!  Looking good! |

Looking amazing. Although Scorp's base is going to be noticeably smaller than Fort Max if that figure there is the Deluxe sized head. It looks like there's some wonky perspective on the scorpion too because the back end doesn't seem big enough to match the size of the torso.
