Reissue seems unlikely but... here's hoping!

If it's a CW-style combiner I'd be guessing a re-use of the Hotshot/Onslaught mold for the main body, and then possibly variants of the Moonracer mold? Just because they're all long and narrow (ish).

Reissue. I'm not the biggest CW fan.

Curious.
Can't imagine it being true MP scaled - it'd be way too big.
So therefore...? A new MP subline for things like this or yet another scale within the line itself?

Yes Shockers, Raiden is a train combiner from the same origin as Devastator (six parts, each has a specific place, tiny combined mode) that was released in Japan during the Headmaster era.

FUCKING SILHOUETTES!!!
But yes, this is intriguing, isn't it? I am wondering though whether it'll be a true "Masterpiece" with that level of engineering, or whether it'll be another retooling of a set of Combiner Wars molds. After all, they do have form with releasing non-Masterpiece-original molds under the "Masterpiece" name - they did this with RotF Leader Starscream, for one. So I'd say it's not something we should discount...

I'm honestly surprised Takara didn't go ahead and do their own Raiden during CW. i mean, one basic mold for the limbs, and two deluxe equivalents forming the voyager torso.
Heck, Alpha Bravo and UW Blastoff could probably be retooled into fairly convincing trains.

Gonna be more expensive than a 3p combiner at the current rate. Better put aside a mortgage payment!

Gonna be more expensive than a 3p combiner at the current rate. Better put aside a mortgage payment! I think rumors are that while these are MPs, they will not be MP scaled, but instead will be the size of CW deluxes. Which means they'll be the same price as 3P combiners, while being half the size.

That certainly sounds like an odd tack to take, but I guess if they were going to try doing Masterpiece combiners then starting with one that there's no competition for is probably the best bet.
