Well yes, but, after almost 18 years getting TWO new He-Man shows is a good thing. As good as the 2002 show was it did not make much of a cultural impact so the odds of a continuation are low.

Yes, but doing a continuation to the 83-85 episode of the week format show does?
MADNESS!!!

Okay so the sequence is overly long then, gotta eat up the running time...

Maybe it's just long for the first few times for impact.

I hope so, otherwise it's gonna be fucking tedious.

I do love the animation - and the use of toy vehicles.
Orko is (as always) badass.
But as I feared, Skeletor simply has Mark Hamills Joker voice instead of any attempt to make it sound like the iconic nasal tone of the original show that this is supposed to follow. Perhaps there will be a scene where he has a cold but Beast Man got lost on the way to the chemist for some medicine for his leader.
I am looking forward to this though!
Edit: 'After 40 years take back the power?' Is this on this year or do we have to wait until 2025 to watch it?

Looked decent enough.
Fingers crossed it retains some of the camp charm of the original.

Not once did He-Man punch the screen! But he punched the ground *and* a giant fist. Surely that's good enough?

Watched the first episode with the lad this morning. Enjoyed it, nothing unpredictable but good none the less.

Throughly enjoyed it, like I said it was nothing unpredictable, with a little tear or two thrown in, but on the whole, good stuff.

Apart from the ONE event, I really enjoyed this for what it was. Lovely animation, the voices didn't throw me off as much as I thought they would (I actually liked Evil Lyn's re-imagined voice better than the nail-on-a-blackboard original). {Spoiler}I loved Cringer's little speech to Teela and also the interaction/bonding between Evil Lyn and Orko. I also had no problem with watching it as a continuation of the original series as what could happen if things went wrong. Cringer, Roboto, Evil Lyn and of course Orko were the stand out characters to me and it's nice to watch a once incredibly tame cartoon have some one get stabbed and for another character to utter the immortal phrase 'bollocks' when in trouble. I do feel it should have been a longer series for people to get to know the characters and world more so events have more of an impact later. But as I felt I already knew the characters, this didn't effect me personally. On the projector with beer, pizza and some whisky, this was a great evenings entertainment.
Oh. And "Oh my god - they killed Orko. You bastards!"

Dont see anything wrong with his comments. But then I am finding the fallout from Revelations quite hilarious. It seems like absolutely everyone has a preconcieved perception of Smith that Im pretty sure has never been true and certainly not for the past twenty years.
He makes dick jokes but has never really been the toxic bro culture guy so a lot of people with a more liberal view are are being pleasantly surprised and those expecting more of the same but with a more hardcore adult edge are very upset.

Oh. And "Oh my god - they killed Orko. You bastards!" In regards to length, yeah so far I'd happily have watched more of it and do feel theres one or two places some extra space would have helped, on the other hand like you say its current run time means I can sit down and watch it as a movie which Im fine with. Spoiler I mainly would have liked a bit of extra time at he end of episode 1 when teela quits. While she is completely justified in being pissed at Adam, Man at Arms etc, she wasnt serving them, she was serving The King who was just as much in the dark as her.
Feels like she should have carried out the Kings orders and then had an extra episode that maybe explored the immediate fallout and had Teela exit towards the end of episode 2.
Its a minor niggle, she would hav ended up in the same place by the next episode.

Dont see anything wrong with his comments. But then I am finding the fallout from Revelations quite hilarious. It's his choice of languange. Swearing about it makes him look like a petty ned. Displays a lack of being able to articulate a point. That's not how you convince viewers to give your show a watch. Can you imagine the producer of Coronation St telling people to fuck off? -Ralph
